It took everything in me not to think about that kiss. How could she even think I would like someone like her? I loved my women strong, and the only thing she evoked in me was the intense urge to protect her.
Collins was yapping about something that I paid no heed to, and when he finally tapped me, I realized we were already in front of the meeting venue.
