CHAPTER 6

1703 Words
Lara stayed in the parlor, scared to walk out and meet Joseph. She cried and walked back to the black couch to relax. She sat carefully on the couch she had previously stood up from when Mike had taken off her shoes. She slowly lay there on the couch, feeling tired. Her big brown eyes were already swollen and puffy from crying so many hot tears. She was shaking, knowing that the handsome guy had come so close to sleeping with her. Lara couldn't go outside to meet those men either; she had seen them gawking at her at the mansion's entrance gate, and they had even harassed her. She cried herself to sleep. The following morning, she woke up to a gentle tapping on her shoulder that startled her. Mike said, "Hello, what are you still doing here? I thought I asked you to meet Joseph last night?" The day had fully broken, and Mike stepped out dressed in a business black suit to leave for work. It was a full working Monday morning. He glanced at his parlor wall clock first and saw it was 7:30 a.m. on the dot. When he looked back at the black couch, he saw the pretty fair-skinned lady from last night sleeping peacefully on it. Mike had first admired her sleeping face before walking up to her and gently tapping her shoulder to wake her. His hand had wanted to caress her pretty face, but he withdrew it. Lara yawned and stretched as she stared at Mike, seeing him standing beside her. She sat up and greeted him, "Good morning, sir." Mike's brow furrowed at Lara upon seeing how pretty she looked—even without any makeup on her face. Her long blonde hair was scattered all over her face, and her big brown eyes looked so swollen. She was probably thinking he was a beast. Mike said, "Leave now." Mike adjusted his necktie as he was also leaving for work. He waited for Lara to leave his parlor first, but Lara refused. "Please, sir, I cannot go back there. My madam and friend will take me to another man's house." Mike said, "How is that my concern? Just leave." Mike stared away from Lara angrily; he didn't want to get aroused by staring at her pretty cleavage. Lara begged, "No! I don't want to be a prostitute. I thought it was a decent job. Janet never told me it was prostitution. Please, sir..." Lara immediately knelt down and begged Mike again. Mike's brows furrowed again. "You wasted my time last night, and you still plan to waste it today. I don't care who you are or what you do—just get out this minute, or I'll call security on you." Joseph knocked on the door and stepped in; he hadn't seen Lara yet. Joseph greeted, "Good morning, boss." Mike finished adjusting his suit and turned to Joseph. Mike said, "Yes, good morning. Take her outside. And how about the second lady?" Joseph replied, "She's in the park waiting, boss." Mike said, "Take her away too." Lara hastily stood up and ran to hold Mike by his leg. Lara pleaded, "No, sir, please... I don't want to be a prostitute. I don't want to lose my virginity. Please help me. I want to return to my village." Mike's fist clenched as Lara held his leg and knelt beside him. Her seductive voice rang in his head: "I don't want to lose my virginity..." Mike turned to face Joseph and said, "Leave us." Joseph said, "Okay, boss." Mike felt defeated by Lara's stubbornness. He finally spoke to her. "Fine, you can let go of me now. How much do you need for your transportation to go back to wherever you came from?" Lara stood up and stared at Mike's face in relief. She met his handsome, cold gaze on her and replied, "I don't know. Janet brought me here yesterday and..." Mike cut her off. "I don't have time to listen to all these sermons of yours." Mike opened his small briefcase and brought out a huge bundled wad of cash. He handed it to Lara. Mike said, "Here's 100k—one hundred thousand cash. Take it and get out. I don't want to see your face here again when I return. Now leave." Mike threw the money at Lara, and he saw how her hands shook and vibrated as she caught it. Lara had never touched such a huge amount of money before. As she caught it, she stammered to thank Mike. "Thank... you. Thank you, sir." Mike left Lara in his parlor, and Joseph stepped into it. He stared at her and said, "Pack your things now and leave." Lara stared around the parlor. She couldn't walk properly in the high-heeled shoes she had come with the previous night. Since she was already leaving, she thought there was no point in wearing them again. Lara breathed out in relief and clutched tightly to the money Mike had thrown at her. She walked back and picked up the shoes, then walked out of his parlor barefoot. Meanwhile, Mike sat in his dining room downstairs in his new mansion. He had previously lived in his father's house before buying his own. He watched as Lara held the money happily that he had given her. She wasn't wearing her shoes and happily stepped downstairs, looking pretty. Lara blushed as her sparkling brown eyes met Mike's gaze on her. She thanked him again. "Thank you very much, sir." Mike stared away from Lara in silence and continued eating his bread as he drank his tea. Lara finally went outside and saw Janet waiting. She refused to get into the black car that was made available to take them back to Madam Alora's brothel home. Lara said, "I'm not going anywhere with you." Janet asked, "What's come over you, Lara? And who owns the money in your hands?" Lara stared away from Janet without responding. Mike then stepped outside the mansion; he was finished with his breakfast and already leaving for his hotel, named Ernest Multimillion Dollar Hotel and Suite Luxury. Mike ignored them as he walked to his executive Jeep, which was made available to take him to his office. He had important clients waiting to meet with him. Janet said, "Lara, we don't have time to waste here. Come on, let's get in the car." Peter stared at the two ladies who were arguing; he hadn't looked at them properly the previous night when he had brought them into the mansion. His eyes widened in surprise as he stared at Lara's exposed cleavage in the red seductive dress she wore. She wasn't wearing a bra underneath, and her boobs were bigger and roundly attractive, making him gulp. Peter asked, "What are you two ladies still arguing about? Get into the car now." Lara replied, "No, sir. I am not going anywhere with you both." Lara refused, and to their shock, she swiftly ran toward the gate, making Mike's driver forcibly slam on the car's brake. He could have hit Lara down, and Mike's brows furrowed at her upon seeing that it was her again. Mike's driver yelled, "Get out of the way, you silly lady!" Lara gulped and swiftly ran toward the exit gate, but the two security men there caught her hands—even as the gate pulled open for Mike's driver, Samson Jonathan, to drive out. Mike remarked, "Only God knows where Madam Alora got that crazy lady from." Samson said, "Boss, probably she's trying to get your attention with her madness." Mike sighed. "Hmph." Mike didn't want to believe that Lara was truly mad. Staring at her through his Jeep window—he hadn't initially looked at her properly when he had stepped out of his house to leave for work—she looked so cute and even more beautiful. Mike found himself staring at Lara even as she ran away. His heart grew panicked in fear that his Jeep had almost knocked her down. He felt like stepping down from the car to caution her, but he was already late for work. Mike relaxed back in his Jeep, thinking as Samson drove the car to his luxurious hotel. However, Lara stubbornly refused to leave. She stood with the money and finally threw the shoes away. The first security man named James stared at Lara as he let go of her hands, not wanting to lose his job. He questioned her. "Where were you running to like that? Have you gone nuts?" Lara responded, "No, sir. I don't want to go with them." James asked, "Why? Your service here is over. Or what are you still waiting for?" Lara replied, "I want to go back home." James said, "Then leave! Peter, take only the second lady away, since she already knows her way home." Lara stubbornly refused to go back to the car. Peter stared back at Janet and said, "Get into the car now." Janet called, "Lara, come on, let's go back!" Lara shook her head and immediately walked outside the gate, still holding the huge bundle of money in her hands as she walked out of the mansion's entrance gate. Janet had no other option but to get into the car with Peter, and he drove it outside to the estate street. Janet said, "Sir, my friend is new here in the city, and she doesn't know her way back." She complained. Peter sighed and stared back at Lara, who was walking out to the residential estate street. He replied to Janet, "She's no kid, so I'm sure she'll find her way back. I don't have time to delay here with you. If I fail to drop you back now, then you can find your way to your madam's place by yourself." Janet frowned; obviously, she didn't have any money on her, and she also didn't want to leave Lara behind. Janet knew that Lara was stubborn, so she got out of the car, knowing that Madam Alora would yell at her if she returned without Lara. What if Lara got lost? Janet wondered. She quickly yelled, "Okay! Stop the car!"
