Allison looked at her mother. "It's okay, Mom. Please."
Finally, Hayley nodded. "Alright." Leaning in, she kissed Allison's forehead. "I'll see you there and call your father."
Allison heard the front doors crash open. Chris and Alex came running around the stairs, eyes wild and looking worried at the same time.
"Take her, take her, take her," Megan said hurriedly. "We don't have much time."
Without question, Chris scooped Allison into his arms and ran for the door. "It's okay; I got you."
"I know," Allison gritted out through another cramp. "Deucalion-,"
"Alex is calling him now."
The next few minutes were a blur of pain, voices, and rushing. Always rushing. Nurses were running around and running down the hall. Doc was at her side the moment they walked in, taking her pulse.
