Chapter Sixteen

(Rain's Pov)

Johnny jumped over the counter and pulled me into a tight hug. I had tears in my eyes as he moved some hair out of my face.

"I missed you so much." He said with tears in his eyes. I bit my lip and he kissed the top of my head.

"Johnny... I can't believe it's you." I said and a few tears spilled down my cheeks. He put his finger under my chin and lifted my head up.

"I can't believe you're here." He whispered while staring into my eyes. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine and I felt sparks. Everything around me didn't matter, the people staring at us and whispering didn't matter to me. All that mattered was that Johnny and I were together again. I pulled away and stared into his blue eyes.

"Johnny... I-I don't know what to say." I said. Johnny smiled and a few tears spilled over.

"I know you probably don't but I still love you and I believe this is a sign. We ran into each other for a reason and I want to be with you." I sniffled and bit my lip.

"I want to be with you too." I finally said and he wiped the tears off my cheeks.

"Then let's be together." He said.

"But I'm only in New York for a week. I still have to go back home." His bright blue eyes that held hope and happiness turned dull and sad. He looked around the shop and saw everyone staring.

"Come with me, we can talk in private." I looked at Blake and he smiled. I nodded and followed Johnny outside and into an alleyway. He leaned against the wall, a tired look in his eyes.

"Johnny?" I said quietly. "I'm sorry, I want to be with you but you know how I feel about long distance relationships."

"Can I come live with you? I'll work on the farm and pay rent." I looked at him in shock before biting my lip."

"What about your life here?" I said and he snorted.

"I have no life here. I work at a crappy ice cream shop, I don't go to college, Andy and Joe rarely talk to me since they're always busy. No one would miss me if I left. Rain, I can't stand it without you! I need to be with you. I tried to move on, trust me I have but nothing can stop me from loving you." I stared at him and finally said

"I love you too." He hugged me tightly and said

"So can I?"

"We'll have to ask my dads." But I knew that the would be beyond happy to have Johnny come live with us.

"Great! Meet me here at the ice cream shop at around seven o'clock with your dads." I nodded and he gave me one last kiss before getting back to work. Blake came around and smiled at me.

"I think I'm in a state of shock, I didn't expect any of that to happen." Blake said. I laughed and shook my head.

"Same here, what time is it?" I asked.

"five-thirty."

"Great, so we have about an hour and fifteen minutes to explore the city."

"Why the time limit?" Blake asked.

"I have to bring my dads here to ask them if Johnny can come live with us." I said and Blake smiled.

"I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks," I said and he nodded.

"Lets go to the diner to eat." He said and grabbed my arm. He pulled me to the diner around the corner and I said

"Everything's so close to each other." He laughed and said

"I know, its the city." We walked into the diner and got seated. Blake smiled at me and I looked around the small restaurant. My eyes landed on two college students studying in a booth by the window. I smiled as I recognized Joe and Andy together.

"Excuse me for a sec." I said and walked over to them. Joe looked up at me and did a double take. Her mouth hung open in shock and she said

"No way..." I laughed and said

"Hi, Joe." Andy looked at us confused before a look of realization came on his face.

"Oh my god, Rain?!" Andy said. They both stood up and hugged me.

"Dude! What are you doing here?" Joe asked.

"I'm visiting my friend Blake's grandparents." I said and pointed to Blake who was looking at us curiously. I waved him over and he walked over to us.

"Hi, I'm Blake." Joe and Andy smiled at him and said

"I'm Andy and this is my girlfriend Joe."

"Nice to meet you." Blake said and smiled.

"So, Rain, did you see Johnny yet?" Joe asked.

"Yes, we talked." I said and blushed. Blake laughed and said

"You did more than that! They couldn't keep their hands off each other." Andy and Joe laughed.

"Awe, I'm happy you two still love each other." Joe said.

"Yeah and Johnny wants to come and live with me." I said.

"Really? Well tell him not to forget about us! We rarely talk anymore..." Andy said.

"Yeah, he told me about that. I'll make sure he skypes and texts you guys if my dads say yes." I said.

"Thanks, well we should get back to studying. It was really nice to see you again, Rain." Andy said. I smiled and hugged them again before going back over to our table. We each ordered a salad and ate before walking back to his grandparents house.

"Dad?" I called as we walked into the house.

"What?" He said as he walked out of the kitchen.

"I need you and Daddy to come down the street with me." I said.

"Why?"

"Just please come with me." I begged. He called Daddy and nodded. They followed me down the street and I walked into the ice cream shop, which was empty except for Johnny sitting at one of the tables. "Dad, Daddy, you remember Johnny." I said and their eyes widened as Johnny smiled at them.

"Hey, Gabe, David." Johnny said.

"Oh my god, Johnny! I can't believe it you!" Daddy said.

"I can't believe you guys are here too." Johnny said.

"Dads, you know how much I love Johnny, right?" I said.

"I knew you liked him a lot..." Daddy said.

"Yeah, I never knew you loved him." Dad said.

"Well I do, I love him so much and he loves me. So, can he come back with us? He can work on the farm with us and I'll get a job to help him pay rent." I said. Dad and Daddy looked at each other and Daddy smiled at Dad.

"I have no problem with it, but you won't have to get a job. We wouldn't want him to pay rent." Dad said. Johnny and I smiled and Johnny hugged me tightly.

"This is the happiest day ever!" Johnny said.

"Thank you so much!" I said to my dads. Dad laughed and put his arm around Daddy.

"No need to thank us. Now lets get back before it gets too dark." Dad said. I nodded and kissed Johnny goodbye.

"I'll get packed up tonight so we can hang out the rest of the week." Johnny said.

"Okay, I love you." I said.

"I love you too, see you tomorrow." We walked back to the house and I went up to Blake and mines guest room. I laid down and decided to take a nap before dinner.
