(Three years later)
(Rain's Pov)
"Come on, Sully. We can do this," I said as we raced Ying Yang and Blake home. We came to a stop just before Blake and Ying Yang and I smirked. "I win again."
Blake pouted and said, "You always win, Sully's way to fast." I chuckled and shrugged.
"Ying Yang's fast, too. If he would've been just a tiny bit faster he would have won."
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you," Blake said. We got off of our horses and put them in the field.
"Tell me what?" I asked.
"My parents and I are going to visit my grandparents in New York where I used to live. We wanted to know if you and your dads wanted to come."
"I would love to! Let's go ask my dads," I said and we ran inside. My dads were watching TV and they smiled at us.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" Daddy asked.
"Blake's family is going to New York and wanted to know if we wanted to go," I said.
"Oh, wow. New York City? I don't really think your dad and I can go. We have to take care of the horses and things like that. But you're welcome to go, Rain. Not that you need our permission anymore," Dad said.
"Are you guys sure? This would be a new experience for us," I said. Dad sighed and looked at Daddy. Daddy smiled and shrugged as if they were having a silent conversation with their eyes.
"It would be a new experience," Daddy said and took dad's hand and squeezed it.
"I guess I can call Tim down the road and see if he can feed and water the horses," Dad said and I smiled excitedly.
"Yes! This will be awesome! I can't believe we're finally going to the city! Thank you so much, Blake!" I said and hugged Blake tightly. He chuckled and hugged me back. We pulled apart and I grabbed his arm and pulled him up to my room. He sat down on my bed and I fixed my hair in my mirror. I still have the same hair style but it has blue highlights in it. I don't wear as much eye makeup anymore, but I still wear some. I smiled and turned around to look at Blake. "So, when were you planning on leaving?" I asked.
"Tomorrow at noon, he said. I nodded and sat down next to him. I smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Thank you," I said.
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and said, "For what?"
"For being there for me. For helping me with my problems. For punching Max when you saw him picking on me," I said and chuckled.
He laughed and said, "It's no problem. I love you too much to let him hurt you again."
"Awe you're sweet, now help me get packed," I said and went over to my closet to get my bag. We packed my clothes and then Blake went home to tell his parents we were going with them. I ran downstairs and saw my dads in the kitchen baking some brownies. They didn't see me so I watched them joke around and laugh.
"Gabe, I swear to god if you put that on me I will-" Dad was cut off by daddy putting brownie mix on his nose. Dad laughed and threw flour on daddy.
"You guys are awesome," I said and they turned to me. Dad still had chocolate on his nose and daddy had flour all over him.
"Oh hey, Rain, didn't see you there," Dad said. I laughed and walked into the kitchen.
"You still have chocolate on your nose," I said. Dad crossed his eyes to look at his nose and daddy laughed.
"I got it!" Daddy said and licked Dad's nose. Dad and I laughed and Dad ruffled daddy's hair so the flour would come out. Flour went all over the floor and we all laughed.
"I love you," Dad said to daddy and kissed him. Most kids would be grossed out their parents kissed, but I always loved it when my parents showed affection. It shows how much my parents truly love each other and I always envied that. I want a relationship just like their's someday.
"I love you, too. Now, let's get these brownies in the oven and clean up," Daddy said. They put the brownies in the oven and started sweeping up the flour.
"We leave at noon tomorrow," I said.
"Okay, thanks for telling us," Dad said.
"Did Tim say he would help us out?" I asked.
"Yep, I told him I'd pay him, but he wouldn't take the money." I nodded and walked outback. I rounded up all the horses and put them in the barn. I then went back inside the house and saw dad and daddy sitting on the counter. Dad jumped down when the bell rang and got the brownies out. "Now to let them cool and then we can have brownie Sundays!" Dad said.
"Awesome!" I said. "Hey, I have a question."
"What?" Daddy asked.
"Since I'm twenty now, do you guys want me to get my own apartment or start paying rent?"
"Of course not! You help us take care of the horses and you're like the best child ever. We'd never want you to leave or pay to live with us," Daddy said. I hugged them both and smiled.
"I love you guys so much."
"And we love you just as much," they said. I pulled away from them and smiled. The bell rang, telling us that the brownies were cool and dad cut them up. He got out three bowls and the ice cream and made us brownie Sundays.
"So, are you excited for tomorrow?" Daddy said.
"Very," I said and laughed. After I finished eating I hugged my dads and walked upstairs to my room and fed my fish before going to bed.
"Let's go! We don't want to be late!" Dad said as he rushed us out to the truck. We put our bags in the back next to me and we drove off towards Blake's house. We saw Blake and his family putting their bags in the trunk and dad rolled down his window as Blake's dad came up to us.
"Hey, Brian," Dad said.
Mr. Brian smiled at us all and said, "Hey, I'm happy you all are coming with us. Blake's grandparents have been dying to meet you guys." Blake's mom came up next to Mr. Brian and smiled.
"Hey, Rain," she said.
"Hello, Mrs. Darla," I said. They told us to follow them all the way to New York and we pulled out of their driveway. I fell asleep as dad drove and by the time I woke up we were pulling into someone's house.
"We're here," Dad said. I yawned and stretched and we all got out of the truck. We grabbed our bags and a lady came out of the house. She smiled at all of us and hugged Mr. Brian.
"Oh, Brian, I'm so happy you all came!" she said.
"Good to see you too, Mom," he said. She let go of him and hugged Blake tightly.
"Honey, you've gotten so big!"
"I know, grandma," he said and chuckled. She let go of Blake and hugged Mrs. Darla. She then turned to us and came over to dad and hugged him.
"I've heard so much about you all! You must be David!" she said.
Dad laughed and said, "Yes I am. This is my husband Gabe and my son Rain." She smiled at us and shook our hands.
"It's good to meet you all. My name's Sarah and my husband's name is Tony. He's at the store right now getting some food for our dinner." I smiled at her and she smiled back. "Blake, you never told me how handsome your friend is!" Blake and I blushed and Blake smiled.
"That's because we're friends and not dating," he said.
Mrs. Sarah smiled and said, "Okay, okay I get the hint that I'm embarrassing you. Why don't you all put your bags in the guest rooms and Blake and Rain can explore the neighborhood a little bit while I get to know David and Gabe." We all agreed and Blake and I put our bags in the room we were sharing and then went back outside.
"So, show me around a little bit. I've never been in the city before," I said.
He smiled and said, "There's an ice cream shop down the road, let's go there." I nodded and we walked down the street to the ice cream shop. We walked inside and I smiled at the small shop. It was cute with colorful walls and cone shaped seats.
I looked at the guy at the register and said, "Huh, that guy looks familiar."
"Maybe he resembles someone you used to know?" Blake said. I shrugged and walked up to the counter. He glanced up at us and then did a double take. His mouth was slightly open in shock and I grew uncomfortable with him staring at me.
"Um, why do you keep staring at me?" I asked.
"Rain?" he whispered. My eyes widened and I stared at the guy in front of me. I then looked down at his name tag and my mouth fell open in shock.
"Johnny?" I said.
