Chapter Fourteen

(Rain's Pov) I walked out of the house and got on the tractor to go down to the barn and let the horses out. I drove down to the barn and got off the tractor. I got a few hay bales and spread some hay in each of their stalls. I walked outside and saw Sully standing there. "Go out in the field," I said and pointed to the field. He neighed and I sighed. He then nuzzled me and I smiled. "I'm fine, Sully. Don't worry about me." He nuzzled me again and I laughed. "Fine, I'll take you riding. Let me get a saddle." I walked to the storage shed and got a saddle. I walked back over to Sully and put it on him. I got on Sully and said, "Okay, take me wherever." He started walking and I smiled as he walked me all around the property. By the time he took me back to the barn it was lunch time. I got off of Sully and put the saddle away. I hugged Sully's neck and said "Love you, boy. I'll see you later." I walked over to the tractor and drove back to the house. Dad smiled at me and I said, "Where's Ying Yang? I didn't see him in the barn." "We put him in the closed off field earlier. Just so that the other horses won't get too rough with him." I nodded and daddy came out of the kitchen. "Your friend is here," Daddy said. "Blake?" "Yeah, he's in the kitchen." I nodded and walked into the kitchen. Blake was leaning on the counter with his phone in hand. "Hey, Blake," I said. He smiled and said, "Hey, how are you doing?" I shrugged and sighed. "I'm okay, how are you?" "I'm amazing because I have a plan for you to meet up with Johnny!" he said. My eyes widened and I smiled. "Really?! What is it?!" I asked. "I'll drive you where ever you need to go to get to him." I frowned and said, "I don't know where he lives. Thanks anyways. It means a lot to me that you would actually do that for me." "You're welcome. I just want to see you happy." I smiled and hugged him. He hugged me back and I pulled away. We walked up to my room and started to hang out. (Johnny's Pov) "Come on, Johnny, let's get to school," Andy said. I groaned as I laid in bed and shoved my pillow over my head. "I'm not going to school. Just leave me alone," I said. Andy took my pillow away from me and I glared at him. "Give it back." "No, you can't ditch school," Andy said with a annoyed look on his face. "You don't understand, my heart is broken and you don't even care," I said. Andy's eyes softened and he sighed and sat down next to me on my bed. "Johnny, I do care. I'm sorry about Rain, I truly am. I'll tell you what, how about you, Joe, and I skip school and go to the mall. It will get your mind off of Rain and give you a break from school." I smiled and nodded. "That sounds nice," I said. We got up and he texted Joe to meet us at the mall. He took his backpack off and I got dressed so I wasn't wearing my pajamas. We walked out of the house and started walking to the mall. We saw Joe at the entrance doors and she smiled at us. "Hey, Johnny, how are you?" she asked. "I feel like crap, but I'm okay," I said. "Hey, babe," Andy said and hugged Joe. Joe smiled at him and we walked into the mall. I looked around at the different stores and my eyes landed on one that made my heart hurt. I sighed and stared at Hot Topic and said, "He loves that store." Andy sighed and said, "Come on Johnny, let's get away from there." He pushed me towards the food court and sat me down at a table. I put my face in my hands and said, "This sucks, he's making me act like a love struck girl." "Maybe you should try to date other people," Joe said. I stared at her in horror and said, "What about Rain?!" "Forget about Rain, Joe's right. You need to move on," Andy said. I sighed and looked down at the table. "But I don't want to forget about him." "Why? You forgot about him before." My head snapped up and I glared at Andy. "Shut up, I promised him I wouldn't forget about him and I'm not breaking that promise again," I said. "Fine, don't forget about him. Just try to move on," Joe said softly. I sighed and bit my lip. "Fine, I'll try to date other people." They smiled at me and said that this would be good for me. I have a feeling it's just going to make everything worse. It's been two weeks since we skipped school to go to the mall. I've been on seven dates and not one of them made me happy. Most of the guys were just looking for a one night stand and I wasn't looking for that. I kept reminding myself that Rain probably has a boyfriend and forgot about me. I was in my room right now watching TV when my mom knocked on my door. "Hey, sweetie, how's it going?" "Terrible," I said. Mom sighed and said, "Do you have a date tonight?" "Nope, I'm giving up on love," I said. "Honey, don't be so dramatic. I'm sure you'll find someone." "That's just it, Mom. I've already found someone. I love Rain but everybody keeps pushing me away from him. Whenever I bring him up everyone is like 'You'll never see him again, get over it.' Like, how am I supposed to get over my first love?" "I don't know, honey. I'm sure if it was meant to be you'll run into him again someday." I sighed and nodded. "Thank, Mom. I'm going to take a nap." She nodded and left my room. I rolled over in bed and closed my eyes and fell asleep.
