'Happy birthday sis?'
Sara was brightly smiling at Jane as she offered her a big packet. Her smile was innocent, genuine and full of warmness, at least that was what everyone saw. That was what Jane saw as she received the packet with a smile. Everyone was smiling and celebrating with her, but what exactly where they celebrating.
'You're fourteen today?'
Right, It was her fourteenth birthday, the day her nightmare began and not long after she was drugged, her body was tainted by the devil who took her virginity.
'You're mine today!', His disgusting face, full of lust came closer to her, but she was unable to utter a word, her throat was dry and her body was extremely hot.
Don't touch me!", she had managed to say, but it didn't stop her rapist from holding her down.
"Let go!",
Louisa jumped off her bed and subconsciously grabbed the figured that stood above her. Her impulsiveness caused her to react in order to protect herself, but the one who had to suffer was poor Ermine, who's neck had been grabbed tightly, at least not too tight.
"Ah...Miss you...", Realising that every image of that moment was just a nightmare, Louisa immediately let go.
'It was a dream.", She whispered and curled her legs on the big queen size bed. She raked her dark silk her behind with her fingers and realized that her body was sweaty as if she had been running miles. Regardless of how it happened, she couldn't stand the sweat, causing her body to be sticky.
"Miss, did you have a nightmare?", Ermine asked innocently, yet worried about Louisa who's expression was gloomy after she woke up.
Louisa ignored her question and glanced at her neck which showed a slight hand print.
"Does it hurt?"
"Not really, besides you don't have to blame yourself, you surely didn't do it on purpose."
In one way ,she really didn't intend to hurt Ermine, but in the other hand, her intentions were indeed murderous. It is just that Ermine stood by her side at the very moment when her heart finally made her actions physical. To think that she might had become a murderer because of the two scums who ended her life.
Louisa took a deep breath and exhaled to regain her serenity. Her heart was indeed full of hatred, but she couldn't destroy her second life. The body she was residing in had everything she had lost, and now she needed to get the rest from Sara and Dan.
Her second life was a treasure that she needed to cherish and protect, so she wasn't going to let revenge destroy her. But she was going to let each and everyone pay the debt they owe her. Whether the debt was that of Jane or Louisa...
'It must be paid'
Louisa's* baby blue eyes at that instant see me yo have turned cold, so cold that Ermine felt the temperature dropping instantly. The aura that enveloped Louisa at that moment was scary, yet it gave a strong vibe of dominance that wasn't to hurt but to keep things in the right order.
Thus, Ermine found it impossible to say a word to the one whim she served, as if a single word from her might destroy what she was building. Or maybe she just didn't dare interrupt her.
"Is grand mother back ?", Louisa abruptly asked while pull in herself out of her bed.
"Yes, she came back a while and asked after you, but Madam had to use the pretext of your weak body to avoid any repercussion since you didn't get up to greet her."
'A repercussion ?'
Her grand mother was definitely someone very hard to please, not only because of her hard hardened heart, but the bold fact that she wasn't liked by her grand mother. Her sisters and her should both be her family, but the favoritism among them was too obvious to be ignored.
In order to gain a place at home she needed to be prepared at each moment and prove to the old woman that she was worth attention. Louisa definitely despised people like the old madam the most, but she couldn't do anything against it. She had no power for now, so she could only grip her thigh, at least, until she's powerful enough to fight against every body, even she that seemed to rule over her.
"Did the old lady say anything."
"What!", Ermine exclaimed
She couldn't believe that Louisa had actually mentioned her grand mother with such despise, though her despise was reasonable, she wasn't clueless that her words now were an offence.
"Miss, I know you don't like the old lady, but you should be careful you can...", Ermine was cut off by Louisa who abruptly appeared in front of her like a tower. Though her hair was a little messy, I still gave her some charms as they cascaded down her waist. Her baby blue eyes held an attractiveness that made others wish to keep looking into it. They were deep, deeper than the ocean, but they seem to hide certain emotions that couldn't be read easily.
"You haven't answered my question."
Louisa abruptly snapped her out of her thoughts, if not she wouldn't have realized that she has been talking to her, but her words didn't even reach her.
"So.... are you worried about me?"
Louisa repeated her question when she had realized that Ermine hadn't been attentive towards her.
"Of course I'm worried, you might not believe it, but I'm really..."
"....Worried about me?", Louisa completed the phrase before turning away from Ermine who didn't move from her position, but was able to hear Louisa from the side or the bath room.
"I believe you are, but I also believe there is no need for those feelings to take control of your heart. I still need a stable partner once I meet the old lady."
'Old lady?'
Ermine repeated inwardly, but she couldn't be bothered by mere words, as long as it didn't cause Louisa any harm, she could compromise and even go against her wish. Right now even her life didn't matter as much as that of Louisa.
She was probably born to serve her or stay by her side, though it wasn't the path she choosed by herself. She wasn't sad about it, but she was glad that the path led her to Louisa.
"Let's go meet the others.", Louisa said as soon as she cleaned herself and changed into an off shoulder gown. Her hair was left loose, with barely a hair clip to hold it.
Though her dress was simple, the aura that enveloped her at that moment was that of nobility which could cause anyone to respect her.
"Miss..."
"Are you nervous ?"
"I was just wondering if it would work, because if it didn't, we..."
"As long as I'm here, it is bound to be a success. So let's go, let's not keep everyone waiting."
~Ermine sighed.
"Then I shall rely entirely on you,Miss..."
