“Ready to go, Miss Chanel?” Martin popped out of nowhere just as I got out of the elevator.
“Martin.” He picked-up the handle of the luggage from the floor after I jumped in shock seeing him at the lobby. “What are you doing here?”
“It’s Saturday, Miss. Mrs. Wilson will be expecting you today.” Yes, I know. I thought of that last night, on how I will avoid the couple who I have already considered my family.
I just nodded and followed him to the car. Just as Martin turned the engine, I spoke up.
“Please bring me to the bus station instead, Martin.”
“On it, Miss.” I could feel Martin look at me through the rearview mirror.
