As Logan and the rest of his family pack their belongings and prepare to leave Mercy Kingdom for Eclipse, the atmosphere in the room is tense. They had all enjoyed their time in Mercy, but they couldn't wait to start afresh in Eclipse.
Even Axel, who had only arrived in Mercy a few days ago, didn't seem happy about moving but Logan suspected it had something to do with Malia.
Malia wanted to come with them but Logan didn't want to stir up trouble. He hadn't told the king about him moving to Eclipse and not being his son and that was enough. Taking Malia with them would cause fights between his sister and her father.
Malia is a princess of Mercy Kingdom and no matter how much he loved his sister, he wasn't going to take her with them. Going to Eclipse was not only dangerous, but it also was not for someone who didn't know how to fight.
Clayton was running around the room, double-checking if they had forgotten anything. Logan only wished he was eager to leave like his brother.
Clayton didn't seem a little bit bothered about going to a place he'd never been before. He was busy looking at everyone when he noticed that his wife was no longer with them.
"Logan, what's wrong?" Gail, his mother, asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Logan sighed, "I can't seem to find Tiara. She was with us just a moment ago."
"I'm sure she must be somewhere around here. I know that daughter-in-law of mine, she can't stay away from you for 2 minutes."
"And that's why I'm worried. I haven't seen her for long."
"She was chatting with Arrianna not long ago," Gail told him.
At that moment, Arrianna walked into the room. "What happened?"
Logan looked at her, "Arrianna, have you seen Tiara?"
Arrianna shook her head, "No, I haven't seen her since we were talking earlier. I thought she was with you guys."
Clayton stopped in his tracks, "What do you mean? She was with you, wasn't she?"
Arrianna looked puzzled, "No, she wasn't. I thought she was with you guys. We did talk but then I left her here."
Logan's face paled as he stood up, "We have to find her. She can't be too far away."
Malia chimed in, "I'll check the gardens. She likes to sit there these days."
"I'll search the kitchen and the dining room," Gail said.
"I'll go with Princess Malia," Axel said.
"I'll check the guest rooms," Arrianna offered.
"I'll come with you," Clayton said to his fiancee as he took her hand.
Logan decided to check their room. Even though his wife didn't like staying indoors alone, he still wanted to check. She is pregnant and that means her habits might change.
Logan rushed to their room, hoping to find Tiara safe and sound. He searched every corner of the room but couldn't find her. His heart sank as he realized she wasn't there.
He quickly dialed her number but it went straight to voicemail. He tried again, but still no answer.
Logan was starting to panic now. He couldn't imagine what might have happened to Tiara. She was his whole world and the thought of losing her made his stomach turn.
He decided to go outside and join the others in their search for her. As he stepped outside, he saw Malia running towards him.
"Did you find her?" He asked his sister.
"No, there is no sign of her and it seems she hasn't been there for at least two days. You?"
"She's not in our room either."
They both rushed out of the house, calling her name as they looked around every possible place that Tiara might be.
Suddenly, a thought struck him. What if Tiara had left the village without telling anyone? He knew it was a risky move, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
Logan rushed to the gate and found the kids that usually play near their home. "Did you see Princess Tiara leave through this gate?" he asked them frantically.
The kids looked at him with confusion. "No, Your Highness, we haven't seen her or anyone leave," one of them replied.
Logan's heart sank. Where could Tiara be? He felt a knot in his stomach as he considered the possibilities. Had something happened to her? Had she been kidnapped? Is she alright?
He knew he had to act fast. He gathered his family members and they set out to search the surrounding areas. They searched the nearby woods, the whole village, the nearby villages, and even the riverbanks, but there was no sign of Tiara.
As the hours passed, Logan's anxiety grew. He knew they had to find her soon, or it might be too late. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her.
As Logan and his family continued their search, the sun began to set, and the sky turned dark. Fear and worry had taken over everyone, and Logan could feel the weight of it on his shoulders. He couldn't bear the thought of never seeing his beloved Tiara again.
Days turned into weeks, and there was still no sign of Tiara. As her husband, Logan refused to give up hope and spent countless hours searching for any clues that might lead him to his beloved wife.
The authorities had been notified, but there were no leads as to where Tiara could be. It was as if she had vanished into thin air.
Logan was worried about how her father would react but he had no choice but to inform him. He was angry at first but then he promised to send people to help with the search and Tiara's elder brother and his wife arrived a day later.
The crown prince wasn't angry at Logan, he was willing to do anything to help find his sister. Everyone was doing what they could to help and Logan was grateful for that.
The fact that there were no real leads or suspects didn't make his life any better. Logan couldn't help but feel guilty for not being able to protect his wife. He knew Tiara was not supposed to be found since whoever kidnaped her didn't say anything; she was kidnapped and didn't leave of her own accord. There was no ransom demand or anything.
Despite his grief, Logan knew he had to stay strong for his family and continue searching for Tiara. He couldn't let his fear and despair consume him.
Weeks turned into months, and Logan's search for Tiara had taken him to every corner of the kingdom. He had followed every lead, searched every possible hiding spot, and talked to anyone who might have seen or heard something.
But nothing had come up, and Logan was starting to lose hope, and the stress was beginning to take a toll on him. He couldn't eat or sleep properly, and he spent most of his days wandering around aimlessly, hoping to find some clue about Tiara's disappearance.
He missed his wife more than anything, and the pain of not knowing where she was or what had happened to her was unbearable.
As he sat alone in his room, Logan couldn't help but think about all the happy memories he had shared with Tiara. He remembered the way she used to smile at him, the sound of her laughter, and the warmth of her embrace.
He missed her so much that it hurt, and the thought of never seeing her again made his heartache. He wondered if he was still alive and if she was, was she doing okay?
Was their baby doing alright? How was pregnancy treating her?
Suddenly, there was a knock on his door. Logan's heart skipped a beat as he got up to answer it. As he opened the door, he saw a figure running down the hallway.
He looked around to see if anyone else noticed what was happening and then saw a piece of paper next to the door. He picked it up.
As he unfolded it, his heart skipped a beat when he saw the handwriting.
It was Tiara's handwriting.
Logan quickly read the letter, and tears welled up in his eyes as he realized what it meant. Tiara was alive, and she was reaching out to him.
In the letter, Tiara explained that she was okay and that their baby was okay. She believed in him and that she knew he would be able to figure out where she was.
Logan's heart raced as he read her words, and he knew he had to find her. He couldn't let her live wherever she was any longer, and he couldn't bear to be away from her any longer.
"I will find you, darlin'. That is my promise to you." He knew that finding Tiara would not be easy, but he was determined to do whatever it took to bring her back home.
With renewed hope and determination, Logan was ready to set out on a new journey, one that would take him to the ends of the earth if necessary, to find the woman he loved and bring her home.
He just hoped he found her in time and that nothing would happen to her before he could find her. He also didn't want to disappoint her. Since she was confident that he could find where she was, he was going to do his best.
"I think whoever abducted the princess is someone who has full access to this house. I mean, whoever that person is has managed to hide her from everyone in this kingdom for two months now.
"If it's not someone close to you and your family, then who could it be?"
Logan knew where that conversation was going. Since Axel arrived at Mercy, he had always suspected that Kaden was never going to change.
Logan knew that it was going to take a long time for Kaden to change but his brother was really trying.
He's been helping them search for Tiara ever since he found out that she was missing. He's been with them to every corner of the kingdom and even asked his guards to help.
"Please don't start." He told Axel as he went to the window in his room. He's been spending most of his time indoors lately.
"Your Majesty, you know what I'm saying could be true. I know you love your brother, but you should know that that doesn't mean he loves you back.
"You have always been an illegitimate child of his father to him and no matter how much you show him you care, he will never understand."
It wasn't like what Axel was saying never crossed Logan's mind. After all, he has spent the majority of his life on the receiving end of Kaden's hatred.
Growing up, he tried everything to show Kaden that he was the best brother in the world. He would beat whoever dared to bully him.
Whenever he needed help, Logan was always there to help him. There was nothing that he didn't try.
"I grew up with Kaden, Axel. You don't have to remind me of what it was like."
"Did you really grow up with him? From what my aunt told me, you guys were driven out of the palace before you could even walk. I don't think you need someone to remind you of that.
"You grew up here, in Mercia, while he was surrounded by his parents, his servants and in luxury. You never got what he received and you were not even allowed to go to school, even if it wasn't the same school as him.
"You have never been treated like the prince that you are and I have no doubt that he was told every day that you and him will never be the same.
"His mother is a queen, he is the crowned prince of Mercy and you are just an evil spawn of a servant. I don't suppose you expect someone who ate those words for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to suddenly erase those words from his memory and start treating you like his brother."
Logan looked at Axel and saw that he was serious. He wanted to say something but then Axel cut him off.
"You don't have to do anything about what I just said. You just need to think about it and then decide if you want to face the truth or continue with your fantasy. Good night, Your Majesty."
He left before Logan could say anything.
Logan was left alone to think about his words.
