Chapter 50: He Showed Up

Liam bid goodbye to his coworkers and manager, Mr. Rex. He used the back door to exit. Sweats fell from his forehead while he was walking.
Liam wiped the sweat using his palm and resumed walking, unbothered by the heatwave. His second job is as a janitor in a hospital. The work is very hectic but pays competitively. Left without a choice and due to tight money.
He stood at the sideway, finally deciding to ride a cab. Much to Liam’s surprise, a shiny black Tesla car stopped before him. A line etched on his forehead as he stepped back. The car’s window rolled down, and Liam did not expect to see someone from his past.
