“Dad! Why are you saying this?” I asked him. I am in shock but I had to put all my thoughts together in order to ask him this because I know that this will only cause James to hate me more than he hates me now.
“Anytime soon you two will get married though, and I thought that it would be helpful for the both of you when you get married after you two graduate.” Dad replied to me.
“Aren’t we supposed to live on one roof? What if…” I said, but could not finish.
“I trust you and James. You two are smart enough to do what is not supposed to happen before marriage,” Dad interrupted.
I didn’t know that he trusted me so much that he was willing to take the risk of me staying under one roof with James.
