I realized that what James had told me was right. I should at least try my best to show how grateful I am that I still have a dad like him who is kind and good to me all the time.
I know that everything he does is for my good and I do trust him with that, but I have never said that I am thankful for his existence or at least told him that I love him so much.
It is possible that the reason why my dad is like this is because of me too. He does not want me to feel like I am disgusted or uncomfortable if he is sweet to me, since I am not the kind of person who does things like that.
