Delilah's POV The world tilted sideways as I pushed off the wall and walked away quickly with my vision blurring. The rest of the afternoon was a haze of avoiding people and keeping my head down and trying not to break down in the middle of the healing center. Every time I walked past a group of staff members, their conversations would pause until I was out of earshot. Every time I entered a room, someone would suddenly remember they needed to be somewhere else. By the time my shift ended, I felt like I'd been scraped raw from the inside out.
