CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE CREEPY I drag myself out of bed Monday morning, the remnants of Sunday haze clinging to me like a second skin. My head pounds from last night’s smoke and beer, my stomach churns, and every fiber of me dreads the walk into school. Because school means seeing her. Amber. And Theo. Together. Smiling, laughing, probably teasing each other over the weekend like nothing I feel exists. I roll my shoulders, tug on my hoodie, and shove my hands into my pockets. I try to focus on the mundane: locker combinations, math homework, the tedious walk down the hallway. But it doesn’t matter.
