Chp 34
I wake up with a start. My eyes fly open. I am totally disoriented. I have no idea where I'm. My chest is moving up and down fast, my breathing is all over the place and my heart is pounding in my chest. It feels like it is going to burst out of my ribs. The room starts to come into focus. I am in my dorm room in my bed. The early morning light is peeking through the curtains.. My body is still feeling the effects of my dream. I can feel the heat rising to my face as I remember the dream. The door, his eyes, the way he kissed me. The way he wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up like I weighed nothing. The way he said my name, "Zyra." I let out a groan. Fall back against my pillow. "Oh my god." I put my hands in my hair. Pull it in frustration. "Why did I have to dream about that?"
