Everything seemed to go perfectly well after that moment we shared as a family with Theo's wolf.
Theo was inside the living room, building a giant indoor fort out of blankets and pillows with Leo and Lilian and they were laughing so hard, their happy voices echoed through the entire house.
I smiled as I listened to them, but my heart felt a little bit heavy.
Noah wasn't here.
He had to leave for New York the day l left the hospital. He had a massive music showcase and an event that he absolutely couldn't miss. It was a huge step for his career.
And with him gone, I felt a little bit lonely and I just needed some quiet time to think. So, I grabbed my coat, wrapped a thick scarf around my neck, and walked out the front door to take a long walk by myself.
