I woke up early, way earlier than I needed to. I had the hockey game today and I couldn’t stop thinking about Avery. I knew she was going to be there with Luca and Elias, and just knowing that made my chest feel warm. I got out of bed and put on my uniform, tying my skates carefully. I went through the usual warm up routine, but my mind wasn’t really on practice. It kept drifting to her.
