INT. THE SPOT 

CHARLES comes into the main area of the SPOT as the others were all lounging about, NIKKI and SHANE getting up and rushing over towards him as the others put down whatever they were reading and doing to join them as CHARLES looks worn out. 

CHARLES 

It's on. The SYSTEM took what I had seriously, adding in DREW'S and LINTON'S support, and even DAVIEL'S along with what happened to you SHANE and your run in with The MISFITS, it seems they as well believe that there could be some leaks and betrayals within the SYSTEM, though they wouldn't exactly state what they were going to do about it. 

NIKKI

That's some progress I guess. 

AUSTIN 

CHRISTIAN? 

CHARLES

They put him on leave, at least for a little while. 

EMMA

So what's going to happen to the BERZERKERS now that CHARSOC is gone? 

CHARLES

They've been disbanded. Most of them already have hooked up with other ALPHA UNITS, some are choosing to stay on the FREE LANCE circuit. 

NIKKI

So why are we here? 

CHARLES

Well...follow me. 

CHARLES goes towards the LIFT as the others look at each other before following. 

INT. WAR ROOM 

CHARLES stands before the SHIMMERING 3D HOLOGRAPHIC SCREEN as the UNEVENTFUL were seated in front of him, except for AUSTIN who was standing, arms folded near the back wall. 

CHARLES 

The last few weeks have been a trying time for us all. We've all gone through a lot, and most of that is my fault. I've not been a good leader, not instilled enough trust and confidence in you all. You guys are an exceptional group of RECLAIMERS. And what I have...

CHARLES holds up a small CHIP that he pulls from out of the stack of files that he received from TERESA. 

CHARLES 

Is going to prove that I think we're ready. 

CHARLES puts the CHIP into a CIRCULAR PAD and as he shuts the lid, it beeps for a few moments before information begins to stream onto the SCREEN, the GROUP watching before perking up when they notice the rank which was blinking “ALPHA CLASS”. 

NIKKI

No way...

AUSTIN 

Is that...is that really an ALPHA CLASS mission? 

CHARLES 

More than just an ALPHA CLASS mission, this is the UNEVENTFUL'S Initiation ALPHA ranked mission. 

EMMA

You...you really are going to let us go ALPHA? 

CHARLES

We're going to try. Might as well get that respect we all want so badly, right? Then this is it? 

SHANE 

So what's the big deal about going ALPHA? 

EMMA

ALPHA RECLAIMER UNIT'S are the top brass, SHANE. We get treated like rock stars for being ALPHA, there are only Ten ALPHA unit's in all of the entire FRINGE, out of nearly 5 million reclaimers. 

SHANE 

Damn. 

CHARLES

With the BERZERKERS gone that makes only nine, and we now have our chance to make our claim that the UNEVENTFULS are not to be messed with. 

AUSTIN 

Bring it on man. 

EMMA

Fuck yes. 

ANTHONY 

It is quite exciting. 

SHANE

But doesn't this mean everything from here on will be insane, bat s**t difficult missions? 

NIKKI

In theory, yes. 

CHARLES

But I have faith that you guys can withstand the pressure and together, we can overcome anything this world throws at us, we have before, and we will again and again. 

NIKKI

Then lay it on us, boss. What are you working with? 

CHARLES

It's a two pronged mission, so all hands on deck. 

AUSTIN 

Are you going into the field? 

CHARLES 

Best way to make sure we succeed, have your best player in the game. 

AUSTIN 

Cocky asshole. 

EMMA

Why? It's not a lie. 

AUSTIN

Yeah but still...

SHANE

What are we looking at? 

CHARLES 

DAMON HUGHES. 

Saying the name brings up a large picture of DAMON HUGHES as the others move in, reading over the information as CHARLES continues to speak. 

CHARLES 

This is prong one, the main phase. DAMON HUGHES is an ALPHA LEVEL RECLAIMER who works FREELANCE, work dried up around the time he got promoted and he started working REAPS predominantly, about three days ago, he went on a REAP...and hasn't returned. 

ANTHONY

How is that possible? Shouldn't he have been sent back by now? 

CHARLES 

The SYSTEM has been getting very strange readings, souls that were supposed to be sent here are turning up missing, and souls that aren't meant to be sent here for months, maybe even years are winding up missing or dead. 

EMMA

That's not good. 

CHARLES 

Now the TRIO has kept a keen eye on him and it seems he hasn't been able to leave the city of TUCSON, which his initial reap was for. But his TEMP BODY is giving off very strange and powerful readings. 

NIKKI

It sounds like...boss are we dealing with what I think we're dealing with? 

CHARLES 

What's your theory? 

NIKKI

He's a WARLOCK isn't he? 

CHARLES 

Yes. 

SHANE

A WARLOCK? Like a MAN WITCH? 

AUSTIN 

Haha. MAN WITCH. 

CHARLES

Yes, DAMON HUGHES was one of only a few UNDEAD WARLOCK'S that the SYSTEM has allowed to become a RECLAIMER. 

EMMA

Looks like he'll be the last...

CHARLES 

Seems like. If NIKKI'S hinted at theory proves to be true, we have a ROGUE UNDEAD WARLOCK out there in the living world, using dark magic to extract souls from wound be marked victims. 

SHANE

What could he do with those souls? 

AUSTIN 

What couldn't he do? The dude could be supercharged off of souls. 

SHANE

Is that even possible? 

AUSTIN 

Yes it is. And trust me, dudes hopped up on the SOULS of others is not pretty. 

EMMA

So what is the mission? 

CHARLES

Find him, and stop him. Alive. No exceptions. The SYSTEM wants to know how even a WARLOCK extracting souls can sustain his spiritual makeup for that long without the use of added inhibitors. 

AUSTIN 

Couldn't he just go to BARRY? 

CHARLES

As far as we know he hasn't contacted BARRY, BARRY'S been pretty much all over the place, but not in TUCSON. 

AUSTIN 

I see. 

CHARLES 

This is a three man op as you know. 

SHANE

Only three? 

EMMA

The FRINGE won't clear anymore than THREE RECLAIMERS at a time to the Living World. Not on these missions at least. 

ANTHONY

Only RECLAIMER'S with REAPING MISSIONS get permitted into the Living World, and usually only one member of a team goes on reaps. 

CHARLES 

Since SHANE and ANTHONY got to go on the last reap, and since you and NIKKI bitched like school children, I'm sending you, AUSTIN and NIKKI in this time, along with EMMA. 

EMMA cheers as she and NIKKI smack hands as AUSTIN just nods and smiles as he seems to agree with the choice. 

NIKKI

Won't let you down boss. 

CHARLES 

You got two days tops, if you can't bring him in by then, make sure you contact BARRY before your TEMP BODIES expire and do whatever you can to bring DAMON HUGHES in, if he is not brought back alive we fail this mission, am I understood? AUSTIN? 

AUSTIN 

Yes, sir. 

NIKKI

I'll see that it's done. 

EMMA

Me too. 

CHARLES 

Alright. Prong TWO, this is what you two will be helping me with. 

SHANE

ALPHA Missions are Two pronged? 

CHARLES 

Just the Initiations. 

ANTHONY

What are we looking at? 

CHARLES 

Meet THATON CROW. 

The GROUP looks to see a MID LEVEL DEMON appear on the screen. 

CHARLES 

THATON here, is in the same boat as MR. HUGHES. 

AUSTIN 

Extracting souls? 

CHARLES

Yes, cept he's taking them from people here within the FRINGE. He's taken nearly sixteen souls, and there is no end in sight. 

SHANE

Is he using them? 

CHARLES 

Doesn't seem to be, however he's extracting them though it keeps the SOUL'S intact long enough to be sold. 

SHANE

He's selling SOULS? 

CHARLES 

Looks like. 

SHANE

Yeah, this guy probably needs to be taken down a peg. 

CHARLES 

You bet. Our objective, apprehend THATON CROW, and find out where he's keeping the souls, bonus if we can figure out the shadow brokers he's selling the souls too. 

ANTHONY

Sounds like we're in for a fun few days. 

CHARLES

I don't have to stress anymore the sheer importance of what this means for us. This is a chance for the UNEVENTFUL to be something, no longer a joke. You wanted to be treated with respect, you wanted to make some real money, and you wanted to show the FRINGE that we aren't to be f****d with, well ladies and gentlemen, this is it. Make me proud. 

The GROUP nod as AUSTIN and NIKKI head off, ANTHONY and SHANE shaking hands as they seem to be excited as EMMA comes over and hugs CHARLES, CHARLES smirking as she smiles at him. 

EMMA

Thank you. 

CHARLES 

Don't thank me until we've done it. You have to make sure that your mission succeeds. 

EMMA

You sent the best. 

CHARLES

That's what concerns me. 

EMMA

Huh? 

CHARLES 

Keep an eye on them....

CHARLES looks at NIKKI and AUSTIN who were talking with big smiles as the LIFT begins to close and rise up, EMMA raising an eyebrow as CHARLES pats her on the shoulders and comes over to ANTHONY and SHANE.

CHARLES goes towards a bag near the PROJECTION and pulls out a RECLAIMING PISTOl he hands it to SHANE, who looks at it confused. 

CHARLES

Take it, it's yours. 

SHANE

Uh...

SHANE lifts his shirt up, revealing his PISTOl. 

SHANE

I already have one? 

CHARLES

I made a case that someone with your...ability not to miss may be more suited to have at least TWO on him. 

SHANE

Uh...thanks? 

CHARLES 

I'm probably going to need your shooting on this one, I figure giving you two guns is better than one. 

SHANE 

I've never really been great with dual wielding, but...

SHANE puts the SECOND PISTOl away as he smirks. 

SHANE 

I don't see why not. 

CHARLES 

Good. Let's gear up...we've got to go to an especially...hostile area. 

ANTHONY

Where? 

CHARLES

We're going to the INFERNO. 

ANTHONY

Oh, cool...wait...where?!

ANTHONY looks at CHARLES as CHARLES heads off, SHANE giving ANTHONY a look as he shrugs. 

EXT. OBELISK

NIKKI, AUSTIN and EMMA get their clearance into the OBELISK as TERESA was standing by, giving them a smile as NIKKI comes over and greets her as AUSTIN goes and shakes the hands of the TRIO as EMMA was talking to MULIBER who was giving her their WRIST GUARDS. 

NIKKI

Can you believe CHARLES? 

TERESA

I didn't until he had me send in the request. I think you guys will do great. 

NIKKI

Thanks, TERESA. 

TERESA 

This isn't a small fry you're dealing with, by now he has to know that we would be sending a unit after him. 

NIKKI

We're counting on it. 

TERESA 

Good luck, be careful you guys. 

AUSTIN 

TERESA. 

AUSTIN nods at her as he gives her a flirty wink, TERESA smiling as she looks at NIKKI and shakes her head as she goes towards the PLATFORM as NIKKI gives AUSTIN a look, AUSTIN smiling as EMMA comes over and hands them their WRIST GUARDS the THREE hooking it onto their left arms as they come over towards the GATEWAY, listening to the familiar sounds of the sequencing before TERESA inputs her code, NIKKI looking over at EMMA who smiles at her as AUSTIN cracks his neck before JERRY counts them down, the THREE disappearing after the GATEWAY opens up, and draws them inside. 

EXT. DEMONIC BAR

CHARLES pulls his CAR into a parking spot as NIGHT had fallen in the FRINGE, ANTHONY and SHANE getting out as CHARLES looks about the AREA as LOW LEVEL and MID LEVEL DEMONS were conversing and going about as CHARLES looks the DEMONIC BAR, “INFERNO”  up and down as he shook his head. 

CHARLES 

Never thought I'd have to come back here again. 

SHANE

Why? 

CHARLES 

I may or may not have killed a whole bunch of DEMONS during an INCURSION attempt about ninety years ago. 

ANTHONY

I'm sure they've forgotten about all that...or not, and they'll kill us on sight. 

SHANE

I didn't know there was another BAR here, aside from the TAVERN. 

ANTHONY

There are numerous BARS, but some cater towards specific clientele. 

SHANE

I see. 

CHARLES 

THATON CROW was last seen here, and if I know the owner...and I do...he would have come here seeking help...or at least a buyer. 

SHANE 

And this owner is going to give us the information? 

CHARLES 

Hell no, not at first at least. 

SHANE 

This sounds like it's going to be fun. 

CHARLES 

Keep your PISTOL ready, and uh, watch my back. 

CHARLES begins towards the BAR as ANTHONY and SHANE follow close behind. 

INT. INFERNO 

CHARLES steps in as DEMONS were placed all about, CHARLES giving the place a good once over before he takes a few more steps before he stops as every DEMON turns and aims a WEAPON at him, SHANE pulling TWO RECLAIMER PISTOLS as ANTHONY had pulled his out but had dropped it, ANTHONY not attempting to go for it as the YELLOW AND GREEN EYES of the DEMONS were shining hard on them as CHARLES slowly puts his arms up, a smile on his face as he spins about a few times. 

CHARLES

Well It seems I'm still remembered at least. 

SHANE

What do we do...?

CHARLES

Don't drop your guns for one...

ANTHONY

Sorry...

CHARLES 

Just stay quiet. 

SHANE

Okay. 

CHARLES

AZREAL, I know you're here...

AZRAEL 

CHARLES. 

CHARLES turns to his RIGHT as a MAN in a STRIPED SUIT and surrounded by beautiful demonic women suddenly appeared in a back booth, CHARLES watching as the MAN waves him over, CHARLES watching as the DEMONS slowly put their weapons away as SHANE keeps his out but at his side as ANTHONY picks his up and excuses himself from a DEMON that had come up to intimidate him, CHARLES coming up to the BOOTH with SHANE right behind him as AZRAEL flashes him a smile. 

AZRAEL 

CHARLES REID. Been a while. 

CHARLES 

That it has. 

SHANE

AZRAEL? Isn't AZRAEL...? 

CHARLES

Yes...A FALLEN ANGEL. 

AZREAL raises a glass and tips it towards them taking a drink as he smiles at them. 

AZRAEL 

The one and only. 

SHANE

I bet. 

CHARLES

He's not lying. He's the only FALLEN ANGEL in the entire FRINGE. 

SHANE

Oh. 

AZRAEL 

Sit down, much to discuss my old friend. Thirsty? 

CHARLES

I could always deal with a good whiskey. 

AZRAEL 

I could get you one, but I'm not paying. 

CHARLES

Fine by me then. 

CHARLES takes a seat, nodding towards SHANE and ANTHONY as the two pull up CHAIRS around CHARLES as AZRAEL says something to one of his women who gets out of the booth and heads towards the BAR, where the DEMONIC BARTENDER and most of the other DEMONS were still staring them down. 

AZRAEL 

So you haven't told them about me? I feel so hurt, CHARLES. 

CHARLES 

What's there to tell? AZREAL here was the only FALLEN ANGEL LUCIFER felt he could spare, so he sent him with the initial HELL forces during the OCCUPATION WARS. 

SHANE

And why don't you work for the SYSTEM? 

AZRAEL 

Bah. 

CHARLES 

AZREAL was a commanding general, he did things that...didn't sit well with the others, even the HIGH LEVEL DEMONS he was working with. 

AZRAEL 

They staged a coup against me. 

CHARLES 

More like dispelled him from the ranks for his dangerous and genocidal approach towards winning the war. 

AZRAEL 

All the better. 

CHARLES 

They gave him diplomatic immunity as long as he kept to the outer rim of the SYSTEM, and gave him this little business venture. Aside from that, he just does what he wants, isn't that right, AZRAEL? 

AZRAEL 

Close enough. 

The DEMONIC BEAUTY comes over with a trey, setting drinks down as CHARLES takes his shot and grabs SHANE'S and ANTHONY'S handing it to them as AZRAEL takes his and holds it up, CHARLES doing the same as SHANE and ANTHONY do so hesitantly, the FOUR taking the shots as AZRAEL slams his shot glass down before grabbing at his half full glass and taking a small drink. 

AZRAEL 

You have a lot of balls coming here, REID. 

CHARLES 

I like to think I do. 

AZRAEL 

So what possesses a UNDEAD HUMAN like you to come back into the most hostile territory you could ever know? 

CHARLES 

THATON CROW. 

AZREAL perks up, taking a drink as CHARLES notices it as SHANE does as well, ANTHONY chatting up a DEMONIC BEAUTY to his right as she was smirking at whatever he was telling her. 

AZRAEL 

That low life? What about him? 

CHARLES 

Heard he was in here not too long ago. 

AZRAEL 

Of course he was. You could say that about almost any and all DEMON that lives here in the FRINGE, REID. 

CHARLES 

We need to speak to him. 

AZRAEL 

You think I know where he is? 

CHARLES 

You know where everyone is, DEMON at least. 

AZRAEL 

That's not entirely true. p********a spread by your little SYSTEM, I'm afraid. I do know THATON CROW, I do know he's a low life, and I also know that you're probably looking for him because of his little...SOUL venture...am I right?  

CHARLES 

Right on the money. So you're going to keep playing this game with me? 

AZRAEL 

I can play whatever games I want CHARLES, I hold all the aces. 

CHARLES 

Do you now...?

SHANE draws his PISTOLS and aims them at AZRAEL'S HEAD, CHARLES looking at SHANE and then at every DEMON suddenly re draw their weapons on them, ANTHONY looking up at what had happened confused as AZRAEL smirks and sets his drink down, slop clapping as he smirks. 

AZRAEL 

Is that all you got? Hollow threats? 

CHARLES

My friend here doesn't miss, not that I've seen. You make one move, you lie to me...you lose one eye. And then I take your second, on principle. 

AZRAEL 

You think that's all it takes to kill me? I'm a FALLEN ANGEL, boy. 

CHARLES 

Oh I've thought about that too...

SHANE aims one of the PISTOL'S at AZRAEL'S HEART as ANTHONY draws his pistol and aims it at the other EYE that SHANE had aimed away from, AZRAEL looking over at ANTHONY, then at SHANE before landing back on CHARLES with a disdainful look. 

CHARLES 

Maybe I'll take your heart out as well...ANGEL...

AZRAEL 

You really want me to have to kill you one day...don't you, REID? 

CHARLES 

I just want my answers. And seeing how you have every g*n on me and mine since the moment we stepped in here, even if we go, hell, you'll still be dead. And for someone who's lived here for so long...survived so many attempts...done so much...the thought of me taking you out really gets you...doesn't it. 

AZRAEL 

I should have had you killed long ago. 

CHARLES 

Likewise. 

AZRAEL 

THATON CROW is hiding out somewhere south of here. 

CHARLES 

Near the UNDERWORLD? 

AZRAEL 

Seems to be where he's getting his clients for his little venture. I told him that kind of heat was to risky...and stupid to have around here...so that's where I sent him. Haven't seen him since, and that's honestly, all I know. So if you would please...

AZREAL picks up his drink as he leans back with a smirk. 

AZRAEL 

Get the hell out of here...before this becomes a really bad day for you and yours. 

CHARLES nods as he gives SHANE a look, SHANE putting his PISTOLS away  as he goes to follow CHARLES out as ANTHONY gives a card to the DEMONIC BEAUTY he was talking too as suddenly THREE DEMONS step in front of SHANE, SHANE smirking as he looks over them towards CHARLES who turns around, AZRAEL taking a drink as he leans back and crosses his legs as the DEMONIC BEAUTIES rub on his chest. 

AZRAEL 

Seeing how you had the gull to pull a g*n on me...I think I'll make an example out of you. 

CHARLES 

AZRAEL!

SHANE

Boss...

CHARLES stops his advance as SHANE doesn't take his eyes off of the THREE DEMONS. 

SHANE

I got this. 

CHARLES

You sure? 

SHANE

Trust me. 

CHARLES

Alright then. Make a counter example. 

SHANE

With pleasure. 

SHANE watches as the FIRST of the THREE DEMONS kicks SHANE in the chest, SHANE sailing back as he hits the table that AZRAEL was sitting at it, SHANE reeling as he gets up as a DEMON charges him, SHANE quickly turning as he grabs a FORK off of the table and turns, stabbing it into the LEFT EYE of the FIRST DEMON as the DEMON screeches and runs backwards, SHANE watching as the SECOND DEMON throws a punch at him but SHANE knocks it away with a counter before he throws his own punch, hitting the SECOND DEMON across the jaw before he reels and grabs his own fist as the SECOND DEMON laughs as SHANE shakes his head and quick draws one of his pistols, firing off two shots that hit the SECOND DEMON in the EYES, AZRAEL tensing up as the BAR was on edge as SHANE spins the g*n and fires into the THIRD DEMON, killing him with two placed shots as he runs over and kicks the FORK in farther into the FIRST DEMONS eyes, SHANE putting the barrel to his g*n towards it's other eyes and fires off one point blank shot as AZRAEL grits his teeth in anger as SHANE holsters his g*n and looks around the BAR. 

SHANE

Anybody else?!

The DEMONS remain quiet as SHANE comes over and picks the FORK up from where the FIRST DEMON had been killed. 

SHANE drops the FORK onto the table as he glares at AZRAEL who smirks at him, giving him a clap as SHANE turns and walks out, CHARLES and AZRAEL giving each other a look before he and ANTHONY head out of the INFERNO. 

EXT. STREET-TUCSON. 

EMMA looks at NIKKI and AUSTIN as the TWO were being offly chatty as EMMA walked behind them as they were going about, looking for something. 

EMMA

Uh, you guys we have things we need to be doing. 

NIKKI

Relax, EMMA. We have two days. 

EMMA

What? 

NIKKI

Look we know what the guy looks like, the guy obviously hasn't left the area, we find a few people or potential targets and we got our guy, until then, we need to find somewhere to eat here soon. 

EMMA 

I'm not interested in eating food...

AUSTIN 

UN bunch your panties, EMMA. Come on, we're in the living world baby!

EMMA

We've been here before, this isn't a vacation. 

AUSTIN 

Speak for yourself. 

EMMA

What?!

NIKKI

He's joking, look let's just get some food, and we'll go from there, okay? 

EMMA

NIKKI, this isn't like you. 

NIKKI

Well you know what, I don't get a lot of chances to get out and be here...and the last time I was supposed to...

EMMA

Oh stop with that, Jesus, you guys are still pissy about that? He needed us to stop JARED MORTON. 

NIKKI

Lotta good that did. 

EMMA

what?!

AUSTIN 

EMMA...

AUSTIN stops as EMMA stops in front of him as NIKKI keeps walking. 

AUSTIN 

Look, just...give us this, okay? We'll take care of it, just give us a few hours to just...enjoy the day. 

EMMA

This isn't why we're here, AUSTIN. 

AUSTIN 

Look you heard CHARLES, he owed us this. He knows we can get this done so why not just indulge for a bit.

EMMA

This is not how ALPHA LEVEL RECLAIMERS react. 

AUSTIN 

According to this guy we're hunting, it kinda is. 

EMMA

So that makes this right?!

AUSTIN 

If you don't want to stick around with us, then don't, we got the location and confirmation for the Hotel and Room we're staying at so relax, go back and meet us there. 

EMMA

No, I'm going to do my job, like what you two should be doing too. 

AUSTIN looks to see NIKKI a good hundred feet or so away from them as AUSTIN shakes his head and turns, heading off. 

AUSTIN 

Have it your way, keep your locator on, and we'll see you in a little while. 

EMMA

AUSTIN...

EMMA watches as the TWO head off EMMA cursing to herself as she shakes her head and heads off, looking at her WRIST GUARD as she checks it as she doesn't notice someone watching her before disappearing out of sight as a CAR drives past. 

INT. CHARLES'S CAR

CHARLES and SHANE sit up front as ANTHONY was in the back, talking on his phone as CHARLES and SHANE were watching TWO STREET corners as all kinds of CREATURES and UNDEAD were strolling about. 

SHANE

We drove out pretty damn far, how far is this UNDERWORLD I keep hearing about? 

CHARLES 

Not far, it crosses into a different plane of existence before extending down a few thousand meters. 

SHANE 

That sounds...swell. 

CHARLES 

This is the busiest cross way from everyone coming and going and If AZRAEL is to be believed, then our guy THATON, should be popping up around here at any moment. 

SHANE 

So a good ole stakeout. 

CHARLES 

Yep, I've got the sensor here...

CHARLES taps a little DEVICE that was scanning back and forth on the DASH of his CAR. 

CHARLES 

Matching faces and body structure to any all demons that come into view, if it gets an 80% match, more and likely we got our guy, then it's just apprehending and all that fun stuff. 

SHANE 

Yep. 

SHANE looks to see ANTHONY still on his phone as CHARLES leans back in his seat a bit. 

CHARLES 

Ah, been a while since I've been in the field. 

SHANE 

You miss it? 

CHARLES

That does sound nicer. 

CHARLES 

I don't know. A part of me misses it, especially lately. Since you've shown up I've been having to stick my neck into more things then I have in a long time. 

SHANE 

Sorry? 

CHARLES 

No, don't apologize, it's good for me. Been feeling like I've been slipping, and to a degree I have. Maybe doing more of these missions with y'all is a good thing. And if we reach ALPHA LEVEL, I'll have no choice but to join y'all, till we get another member that is. 

SHANE 

How often do we get em? 

CHARLES

It varies really. Sometimes I get a bunch of you all at once, other times, I don't for a while. 

SHANE 

So no one remembers you? You had no one when you died? 

CHARLES 

 I did. I just have been here a while. I guess everyone who knew about me eventually just died off over the centuries. That's why I was assigned to this specific unit, I was one of the first. 

SHANE 

So you don't come into the FRINGE as an UNEVENTFUL? 

CHARLES 

Nope, that honor goes to the chatterbox on the phone behind me. 

SHANE

ANTHONY? 

CHARLES

Mhm. 

SHANE

haha, why am I not surprised. 

CHARLES 

Cuz it's ANTHONY. 

SHANE 

Haha. 

ANTHONY continues to talk on the phone as SHANE rubs behind his head and gets comfortable as he stretches. 

SHANE 

You enjoyed RECLAIMING when you were doing it? 

CHARLES

I can't say that in reality. I mean, I had more bad things happen then good, but the good that I was able to do always outweighed the bad, least that's what I always told myself. 

SHANE 

What did you do, like work wise, you obviously couldn't have survived off of just RECLAIMING? 

CHARLES

Actually I did. Me and COLBY, LYDIA...We just worked, all the time, non stop, we hadn't nothing else we wanted to do, just wanted to save as many as we could. 

SHANE 

Damn. 

CHARLES 

Burnt ourselves out plenty of times...probably even screwed up some missions that could have been avoided from having the body counts they did...

SHANE

Like back there...at that DEMONIC BAR? 

CHARLES

Something like that. 

SHANE

What happened...?

CHARLES 

I was wild...reckless. I was in a two year deep emotional spiral, going off the rails after LYDIA went missing. We got a job to hunt down a ROGUE DEMON who had absconded with some PROTOTYPE weapons and was believed to be hiding out with AZRAEL'S people. I was a cannon...I didn't want to hear any of AZRAEL'S bullshit and lies...COLBY tried to be cordial and diplomatic, but I got pissed off. And I just lost it. 

SHANE 

Damn. 

CHARLES 

Slaughtered at least...forty DEMONS before COLBY took me out, knocked me straight out, kept AZRAEL from doing whatever he wanted to have done to me. 

SHANE 

Sounds like you and COLBY were quite the tandem. 

CHARLES 

Oh yeah. We were hard to take down. 

SHANE 

What happened? 

ANTHONY curses into his phone loud enough for the Two to hear as they look back as ANTHONY shakes his head. 

ANTHONY

Nothing worth mentioning right now, SHANE. Sorry. 

SHANE 

Alright I guess...

CHARLES

It's...hard to talk about. 

SHANE 

TERRANCE seemed like a good boss. So I assume it...

CHARLES 

Let's not talk about the dead. 

SHANE 

Sorry. 

CHARLES goes quiet as ANTHONY looks between the TWO as SHANE looks sheepish. 

ANTHONY 

So...I just got one of those DEMONIC broads to swing by my place later...

SHANE

Why? 

ANTHONY

SHANE

Oh god...

ANTHONY

Hey, I'm a famous face, people want to be in my movies, and sometimes...they want to do things to be in those movies. 

SHANE

CHARLES 

That's not entirely true...

ANTHONY

You know what I mean though. 

CHARLES

CHARLES

No one does at first...but after a while...

SHANE shakes his head as CHARLES and ANTHONY look at each other before busting out laughing. 

INT. RESTAURANT-LIVING WORLD 

NIKKI sits at a CORNER table as AUSTIN comes from the back, two plates in hand as he sets it down as NIKKI shakes her head. 

NIKKI

Took you long enough. 

AUSTIN 

Well not everyone orders what you want, I had to wait till they made it, at least mine's spaghetti, easy to make always on tap. 

NIKKI

It's fine, anyone see you? 

AUSTIN 

None that I could see, they're going to be pissed when they find their chicken Alfredo missing and have to cook up another batch. 

NIKKI

Oh well. 

The TWO begin eating as no one seems to be able to see them. 

NIKKI

Maybe we need to go find, EMMA. 

AUSTIN 

Can we at least first, I just waited back there for an hour to get you this goddamn plate. 

NIKKI

Yes, I'm just saying, maybe we should call off the rest of the day...

AUSTIN 

Look, I know things between us are still...weird...and I've just pretty much accepted that whatever we are...and will be is just...gonna happen...we've been planning this day for a very long time, CHARLES robbed it from us once, let's not let one of his favorites paranoid us out of what we are owed. 

NIKKI

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm not saying EMMA is wrong either, I mean this guy...

AUSTIN 

Is a Man Witch, going up against THREE of the best. 

NIKKI

I just don't like EMMA being out there on her own. 

AUSTIN 

She's going to be fine, if she finds anything, she'll tell us, and we'll go to her, and that'll be that, but if this guy is that good, he's not just going to reveal himself. 

NIKKI

So you think wasting a day is a good thing? 

AUSTIN

NIKKI winks at AUSTIN as AUSTIN smirks and nods, not taking his eyes off of her as she goes back to her plate, AUSTIN shaking his head as he rolls up some spaghetti on his fork and takes a big bite. 

EXT. STREET 

EMMA checks her WRIST GUARDS as she follows it along the way, EMMA coming over towards and area that was beeping on her WRIST GUARD, EMMA coming over as she bends down near the end of street, feeling the ground she looks at her hand and notices some specs of DUST and FLAKES as EMMA looks around her, dusting her hands off as she rubs her head. 

EMMA

Damn. Recent, just missed him. 

EMMA looks around as she scans the area, trying to see anything but moves on from the area as someone suddenly appears directly behind her, EMMA hearing the ping going off on her WRIST GUARD as she quickly turns around as she looks at it, EMMA not seeing anyone as the PING was suddenly gone and silent, EMMA moving her hand away from her PISTOL as she heads back off, listening to the sound of her WRIST GUARD closely.

INT. CHARLES'S CAR 

CHARLES is asleep as he was snoring, SHANE dozing off as ANTHONY was keeping watch, ANTHONY looking about as he noticed the activity had dissipated dramatically as only a few people were appearing here and there, SHANE catching himself as he was nodding off as he rubs eyes and sits up, yawning as he rolls his neck about before ANTHONY pats him on the shoulder. 

ANTHONY

You're hanging in there, rook. Better than CHARLES. 

SHANE 

How long have we been here? 

ANTHONY

It's only been six hours. 

SHANE 

Damn. Can't we play with a GAMEBOY or something? 

ANTHONY

What's a GAMEBOY? 

SHANE 

It's a portable VIDEO GAME console. 

ANTHONY

Ah, we call those PVG'S here. 

SHANE

PVG'S? Oh, Portable Video Games. 

ANTHONY

SHANE

ANTHONY

The DEVICE suddenly begins going off, CHARLES stirring himself awake as he wipes his mouth and face and checks it as he presses a button, a small HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE coming out in front of them as they were seeing the FIGURE walking up the street near them, the SCANNER continuing to process past the 80% match as the THREE suddenly perk as the DEVICE peeps on 98%, enhancing a view of the face that belonged to THATON CROW. 

CHARLES 

Got him! I'll take point, SHANE with me, ANTHONY take the left alley right here, and go around, we'll flank him. 

ANTHONY

Got it. 

CHARLES 

Out. 

EXT. STREET 

The THREE get out as ANTHONY hurries off and out of sight towards the LEFT ALLEY as THATON continues walking towards them, CHARLES and SHANE heading his way as he suddenly looks at them, stopping as he checks them over for a moment before he turns and runs. 

CHARLES 

Son of a b***h. 

CHARLES and SHANE sprint after him, THATON taking off as he takes a right around the corner and runs into ANTHONY who goes to grab him but THATON clotheslines ANTHONY across his chest, ANTHONY spinning a few times before he lands hard on the asphalt, SHANE jumping over ANTHONY as he keeps on THATON as CHARLES checks on ANTHONY. 

ANTHONY

Go!

ANTHONY reels as CHARLES takes back off, ANTHONY getting to his feet as he gingerly limps for a few steps before he goes running in the opposite direction. 

THATON knocks some things over trying to get SHANE off BALANCE but SHANE keeps out of it's way, gaining speed on the DEMON as THATON snarls and takes a sharp turn, SHANE following as he pulls his PISTOL and fires a few times at his legs, hitting his LEFT LEG as THATON slows and screeches but keeps going as SHANE follows, running down the ALLEY as CHARLES is not far behind, CHARLES looking about before he keeps going straight instead of taking the ALLEY. 

THATON knocks an entire TRASH BIN out of place with one timed swipe, sending it crash towards SHANE who slides on his knees, missing it by a few meters as it crashed over him, spinning a few times as SHANE gets back to his feet and keeps on the DEMON as THATON rounds the corner right into ANTHONY'S clothesline. 

THATON falls over but quickly kicks at ANTHONY'S LEG, ANTHONY reeling as THATON spins himself up and uppercuts ANTHONY across his jaw, knocking him over as SHANE tackles THATON from behind as he hit ANTHONY, the TWO landing on ANTHONY who gasps loudly as THATON elbows back but SHANE avoids it as he begins popping his fists into the back of the DEMON'S HEAD, but THATON simply shakes them off as he rolls over and grabs SHANE by his throat and face but SHANE keeps hitting THATON in the face as ANTHONY goes for his PISTOL but THATON elbows into ANTHONY three times, ANTHONY dropping his pistol as SHANE rears his head back and head butts the DEMON, SHANE reeling as he realizes that was a bad idea as THATON rears his knees back and pushes SHANE off with his knees, kicking his left foot out at the same time to kicking SHANE off balance as THATON gets up and punts ANTHONY across his face, THATON coming back over towards SHANE as SHANE was slowly standing. 

THATON goes for SHANE'S eyes with his thumbs but SHANE reels and ducks, kicking THATON in the chest as THATON falls over but quickly regains his footing as he attacks SHANE with a series of punches and kicks but SHANE blocks them, but feels the power behind the hits before he misses a block and is hit in the side with a powerful hook, SHANE reeling as THATON punches SHANE a few times in the face but as he reels back for another, CHARLES suddenly grabs the DEMON by the punching arm. 

THATON turns and reels as CHARLES lands a series of face punches which don't seem to affect CHARLES but cause the DEMON the reel in pain as CHARLES pulls THATON around and lands a few more strikes before he pulls the DEMON over and knees it in the face, THATON falling over, reeling as SHANE stands, blood pooling out his nose and mouth as he was beginning to suffer from swelling as ANTHONY comes over with the same problem, CHARLES huffing as he watches THATON move for a moment before he stomps on his temple twice, watching as the DEMON was knocked out cold as he looks between the two and bends over, catching his breath as the TWO look at each other before looking at CHARLES who leans back up and smirks. 

CHARLES

That was a good workout. 

SHANE huffs and shakes his head, forcing out a smile as ANTHONY sits down, grabbing his g*n as he shakes his head. 

ANTHONY

I can't believe I dropped my f*****g g*n again. 

ANTHONY sigh's loudly as CHARLES quickly binds THATON as SHANE looks about the area, making sure things are clear. 

EXT. PARK 

NIGHT has fallen in the LIVING WORLD as AUSTIN and NIKKI walk hand in hand, the street lamps lighting up the area as the TWO watch some people playing in a FLAT AREA that had WATER GEYSERS all about, firing up randomly as NIKKI looks at AUSTIN with a large grin. 

AUSTIN 

What? No way? 

NIKKI

Come on, I've always wanted to play in one of these...

AUSTIN 

Uh...okay. 

NIKKI kicks her shoes off as she smirks and goes running towards it, AUSTIN shaking his head as he follows as NIKKI dances about a few that shoot up near her before she runs into a few, getting wet as AUSTIN stood on the outside, letting some KIDS run around him as NIKKI was smiling and dancing about it, AUSTIN watching her as he steps in, watching as he foot gets hit with the first one he steps on, AUSTIN stepping back as he suddenly gets drenched by water, NIKKI laughing at him as he has his eyes closed as he was getting soaked, NIKKI running over towards him as she pulls him farther into the little path, NIKKI grabbing him into a kiss as the GEYSERS go up all around them, the TWO KISSING as no one could interact with them as NIKKI pulls away, AUSTIN looking longingly into her eyes as he smirks as she pushes off and goes running around in the GEYSERS, laughing as AUSTIN runs around, chasing her as the two seem to be enjoying themselves. 

INT. HOTEL 

EMMA comes up the long hallway in a HOTEL, EMMA checking her WRIST GUARD as the HOTEL and a ROOM NUMBER was on the SCREEN, EMMA checking her TEMP BODY registry as it was on 54%, EMMA huffing as she rubs her head and goes into her room. 

INT. ROOM 

EMMA goes through the door into the room, checking the locks as she turns around and checks it a few times before she yawns and goes towards her bed, EMMA laying down as she throws her arms around her head as she shakes her head. 

EMMA

Sons of bitches. 

VOICE 

Seems kinda pointless coming in with back up and having no back up. 

EMMA quickly draws her PISTOL as she turns towards the VOICE but the FIGURE holds his hand up, EMMA watching as the jerks out of her hand slams across the other side of the room as EMMA looks on in horror as DAMON HUGHES steps from out of the SHADOWS near the BATHROOM. 

DAMON 

I'm just here to talk. 

EMMA

Yeah I bet...

DAMON 

Sit down. 

EMMA watches as her body suddenly tightens up and she rigidly sits down, DAMON keeping his hand up before he lowers his arm, DAMON going over towards the MINI FRIDGE as he opens it and pulls out a little mini bottle. 

DAMON 

You mind? 

EMMA

Help yourself...

DAMON 

Thanks. 

DAMON quickly downs it as he sets it down, DAMON walking over as he sits down across from EMMA, EMMA trying to pull her head away as DAMON touches her face gently with his left hand. 

DAMON 

You are quite beautiful. 

EMMA

So you were following me all day? 

DAMON 

You act as if you knew? 

EMMA

I did. 

DAMON 

Then why so caught off guard? 

EMMA

It doesn't help when you trip your emergency beacon...and no one comes to help you. 

EXT. PARK 

NIKKI and AUSTIN during their kissing in the GEYSERS don't notice as their WRIST GUARDS were going off in a blinking white light. 

INT. ROOM 

DAMON smirks to himself as he shakes his head 

DAMON

That's why I preferred to work alone. 

EMMA

I don't blame you right now...

DAMON 

That's refreshing. 

EMMA

But I do blame you for what you're doing...

DAMON 

Oh...that. 

EMMA 

Why? 

DAMON 

I have my reasons. 

EMMA

You're coming back with us...one way or another...might as well. 

DAMON 

Haha, they want me alive? How nice of them. 

EMMA

Stop dancing around the issue. 

DAMON 

You think I'm just going to reveal why because you asked?

DAMON raises a hand and EMMA feels her body loosen up, as she can move, EMMA not daring to move as DAMON smirks. 

DAMON

Unlimited power? Egomania? The list is probably endless and full of bullshit. 

DAMON 

Sure, when you put it like that. To be perfectly honest, I was bored. It seemed like something to do, I mean. How many warlocks do you know? 

EMMA

DAMON stands as EMMA leans back, afraid of what he may do but he simply walks by her and towards the door.

DAMON raises a hand towards her, EMMA feeling the paralyzing feeling wrap her body as she tries to speak but can't as DAMON looks at her regretfully. 

DAMON 

I'm sorry...yelling and being angry doesn't suit you. I'm sorry your backup didn't come. But give them my warning. Good bye, beautiful. 

DAMON goes through the DOOR, EMMA loosening up as she gets up and runs and grabs her g*n, EMMA going through the DOOR as she aims about, checking her WRIST GUARD as nothing was showing up as EMMA aims about before screaming and throwing her g*n down, dropping to her knees as she grabs at her head, looking disheartened as she doesn't know what to do. 

INT. WAREHOUSE 

CHARLES finishes sharpening a BLADE as THATON was tied down with chains to a CHAIR as SHANE comes over towards CHARLES as ANTHONY was watching THATON tied to the chair, the TWO staring each other down as SHANE looks back at them before he speaks. 

SHANE 

Why are we here, CHARLES? Why don't we just go ahead and take him in? 

CHARLES 

Do you not remember the parameters? We have to apprehend him, which we have. But that still leaves out the biggest thing. 

SHANE

The souls. 

CHARLES 

Exactly, And I’m not about to bring some low life DEMON back to our place, better do it here, while we're at least close enough in the area where he may have stashed it. 

SHANE

And what if he's already sold it all? 

CHARLES 

Then we attempt to figure out who, and then go from there. 

SHANE 

Alright. 

The TWO come over towards THATON as THATON looks back at CHARLES, not paying any attention towards SHANE as CHARLES smirks and backhands THATON across the face before stabbing the BLADE into THATON'S RIGHT LEG, SHANE jumping back in surprise as THATON screamed as CHARLES twists the BLADE a few times before pulling it out. 

CHARLES 

To get all the pleasantries out of the way. 

THATON 

You son of a b***h!

CHARLES 

Oh hush up, it's not like it's life threatening. 

THATON 

How did you even find me...AZRAEL...

CHARLES 

Ding ding. 

THATON 

FALLEN ANGElS...

CHARLES 

You knew what you were dealing with by going to him, so you only have yourself to blame. 

THATON 

That doesn't matter...

CHARLES

Is that so? 

ANTHONY hears something and perks up, SHANE staring at THATON as ANTHONY goes towards one of the nearby windows. 

THATON 

Yes. 

CHARLES 

We can make this easy, or difficult. 

THATON 

You wanna know about where I have the souls? Yeah, well you and a lot of other people. 

CHARLES 

So you haven't sold them yet? 

THATON 

No. But they have been purchased. 

CHARLES 

And?

I'm the only person who knows where they are, and seeing how you now have me, the people in question are going to assume I sold them out, which means no matter what I am a dead man. 

CHARLES

ANTHONY

CHARLES looks at ANTHONY who looks at CHARLES and SHANE with a terrified look. 

THATON

CHARLES comes over with SHANE as the THREE look out the WINDOW to see TRUCKS, CARS, and OTHER VEHICLES suddenly surrounding the WAREHOUSE, the THREE looking at each other as SHANE looks to see a familiar face stepping out of one of the TRUCKS as SHANE curses. 

CHARLES 

What?!

SHANE 

See that big hulking fucker? 

CHARLES 

Yeah? 

SHANE

That's BELPHEGOR...one of the MISFITS. 

CHARLES looks at BELPHEGOR as he was directing MEN around the building, CHARLES looking at THATON who begins to laugh as CHARLES comes over and stabs the BLADE into THATON'S other leg, THATON hollering as CHARLES pats him down. 

CHARLES 

Where is the device?!

THATON 

No device...they had eyes on me the second I made the sale...I was going to get the stash when you three showed up...and now...we're all dead. 

CHARLES 

You were selling these SOULS to the goddamned MISFITS?! Why?!

THATON 

They needed them...and they were willing to pay for them. 

SHANE

How were you pulling the souls out? 

THATON 

I learned an incantation from a friend of mine...

CHARLES

This friend of yours happens to be a WARLOCK by the name of DAMON HUGHES? 

THATON looks at CHARLES a bit surprised before he nods, CHARLES stepping back as he shakes his head as SHANE rubs his head. 

SHANE 

Goddamnit. 

THATON 

DAMON was supposed to come back with a large amount undetected to be sold along with whatever I was able to gather, but...he didn't...I didn't have any other options but to step up from what I did and give them what I could...

SHANE

You stupid son of a b***h, these guys wanna bring the entire SYSTEM down. 

THATON 

I don't have time to worry about that when I'm making a profit. 

CHARLES 

Well good job with that...Looks like you'll get to spend that money wisely when you're dead, or if they succeed and destroy this world. 

THATON

GUNFIRE and EXPLOSIONS suddenly rock the WAREHOUSE as CHARLES pushes the CHAIR over before dropping himself as SHANE quickly got ANTHONY down as some bullets hit where his head had been not a few moments after, THE FOUR listening to the devastating barrage as the MISFITS were unloading all over the WAREHOUSE as bullets were landing and beginning to pierce through, the GUNFIRE going on for a long while before someone can be heard giving orders to stop as CHARLES looks around at everyone, making sure they were alive as CHARLES can hear someone speaking. 

BELPHEGOR 

(O.S.)

We know you are in there, RECLAIMER'S! Send out an Emissary to discuss terms of surrender and you and yours may leave with your lives spare. We only acquire the DEMON that you have in custody. There is no reason for any of you to die today but we will see that it is done. You have five minutes. 

The booming voice stops speaking as SHANE and ANTHONY crawl over towards CHARLES who sits up as THATON is rocking, trying to get out of his bind but to no success as CHARLES looks at his guys over. 

CHARLES 

Everybody okay? 

SHANE 

Yeah. 

ANTHONY 

I'm fine. 

CHARLES 

Okay, good. DEMON, you still breathing? 

THATON 

Get me the f**k out of here!

CHARLES 

Shut up. 

SHANE 

Boss...what are we going to do?

CHARLES looks about as he shrugs. 

CHARLES 

I don't know...

The THREE look about as everything happening around them has become increasingly dire. 

INT. ROOM 

AUSTIN and NIKKI go through the door of the room, GUNS leveled as they were still to be drying off as they aim about before AUSTIN lowers his g*n as NIKKI looks to see EMMA sitting on the bed. 

NIKKI 

EMMA...?

EMMA looks up at them, tears in her eyes as NIKKI puts her g*n away and comes over, sitting in front of her as AUSTIN checks about as NIKKI notices the distant look in EMMA'S eyes. 

NIKKI

EMMA...?

EMMA

He was here...coulda killed me with ease but he didn't...

NIKKI

Oh shit...

AUSTIN 

I'll sweep the area...

EMMA

No need...he's been gone for a while now. 

AUSTIN

EMMA

No...he just...wanted to tell me...us...that we should just go home.  Forget about him, let him do what he needs to do, and just...let whatever happens happen. 

AUSTIN

EMMA looks at them with a disdainful look as AUSTIN is caught off guard by it as EMMA sneers. 

EMMA

You can do what you want...I mean that's what Y'all have done all day...so I'm going to do what I want. 

NIKKI

AUSTIN

EMMA gets up and heads off, going into the other room as NIKKI and AUSTIN look at each other as EMMA disappears from them the two left with no words as they look at each other regretfully. 

EXT. STREET 

A MAN is walking down the STREET coming from out of a HIGH RISE BUILDING as he hears someone whistle very loudly, The MAN a bit startled as DAMON appears beside him, the MAN clutching his chest as he laughs as DAMON smirks. 

MAN 

Man, you scared the s**t out of me. 

DAMON 

Sorry about that. 

MAN 

Can I help you? 

DAMON

MAN

DAMON 

What's the price you think your soul is worth? 

MAN

DAMON 

I'm sorry, I just met you, I kinda spooked ya there, It's natural to be a bit put off, so I'll ask again. What do you think, your soul is worth? Your immortal soul that is. 

 MAN 

Uh, man I don't know, I just got off work. I'm not really looking to talk about anything Religious or what not. 

DAMON 

This has nothing to with religion or moral ambiguity. This is just a question I like to pose to everyone that I meet. If you knew, for sure, that your soul had value, how much would you sell it for? 

MAN 

UH...Ten million dollars...I don't know...Look I'm gonna head on...

DAMON

The MAN suddenly begins to convulse, grabbing at his chest as DAMON looks around to see no one about the area as DAMON bends down, grabbing the man by his heart as The MAN looks at DAMON in horror as he began gasping and fighting for air as his body was suddenly losing color as DAMON looked at the MAN with tears in his eyes. 

DAMON 

I'm sorry...I'm sorry I have to do this...but I cannot stop this on my own...But I want you to know...that this soul of yours...is invaluable. No amount of money could replace the importance of your very essence. 

The MAN tries to scream as a white phosphorous like light begins to seethe into DAMON'S hand, DAMON beginning to glow as The MAN looked up with frantic and sad eyes as DAMON was shaking as he pulls away, The MAN falling over as DAMON steps back as the MAN lay on the ground dead as the LIGHT glows brightly before dissipating as DAMON catches his breath a few times before looking himself over a few times as falls down near the body, DAMON looking about as covers his face into his hands and begins to ball. 

DAMON 

Why! Why can't there be another way!! Why...why can't there be another way...!

DAMON rolls onto his side, crying and screaming as he looks completely torn over everything he has done.
