Chapter Twenty Seth POV I can see the gears in her brain grinding against each other as she stares out the window into the black abyss of the night. Her body is turned away from me for once, with her hands resting in her lap. Her dainty fingers fidget with each other like they always do - the girl can’t stay still. I can tell she’s nervous by the way her eyebrows creese but I’m unsure why her nerves are heightened. Something is heavy on her mind and its obvious she needs a distraction. “Did you enjoy the club?” I ask her, knowing my voice alone will pull her in my direction. She turns to me and smiles softly, her smile not reaching her eyes like it normally does. “Your vision came alive. The designer did a great job.” Her brows furrow, “Why did you make me part owner?” she asks.
