Achilles was a great warrior in Greek mythology. He was known for his inhuman strength and was said to be immortal. His greatest enemy studied him until his weakness was discovered. The tendon between his heel and his ankle. Achilles was brought to his knees.
The unkillable, killed.
Magical beings are immortal to an extent, but just like Achilles, they all have a weakness.
Vampires can die and come back to life as long as their heart or head is still attached to their bodies.
Fae blood heals their fatal wounds and it is almost impossible to kill them because of their strength and God-like nature, but they can die. Iron is their weakness.
Sirens can even be killed. Drain a sirens blood after she has passed along her genes and she dies.
