TAYLOR The weight of Lady Diane's words echoed in my thoughts as I swiftly packed my belongings. I couldn't bear the idea of waiting around for Vladimir to decide my fate after her unsettling revelation. If what she claimed about the council's intentions was true, it seemed inevitable that Vladimir would soon be compelled to remove me from the palace.
