Channing is outside with Logan, Lawrence, and his father. He's telling them about the upcoming battles. Mitchell and Lawrence refuse to sit on the sideline of the big battle. Channing and Logan aren’t happy about their fathers fighting. But they knew that there wasn’t anything that either one could say to change their minds.
Channing is looking around at some of his pack members.
Micthell sees that his son has something on his mind. “Son, what’s bothering you?”
“Something happened earlier that has never happened. I can’t get it out of my mind.” Channing looks at Logan. “Your mate. My command didn’t have any effect on her.”
All three men are looking at him in disbelief.
Mitchell rubs his chin. “s**t, the only way that can occur is that she’s been commanded by a higher rank. B
