On one of the night raids, Rebecca had the good fortune to round up an actual doctor. Doctor Easterly was an oncologist, but as far as she was concerned, any MD was better than none. She did not put him through the brainwashing program that they used for the other captives, because she feared that the process might damage his intellect. However, it was not difficult to control the good doctor. He was meek and passive and willing enough to do whatever she asked in exchange for a few creature comforts.
