Zahara’s cheerful chatter pulled him out of the dream. The lamp and more candles had been lit to illuminate the cave and Laura was busy sorting and gathering a selection of supplies that she wanted to carry down from the horde.
“Look at this Seth!” Zahara thrust a box in front of his sleep-bleary eyes.
He blinked and tried to focus. “What is it?”
“Brownie mix!” she announced happily. “You just add oil, water and eggs!”
“Wow, that will be a nice treat,” he said without much enthusiasm. The chocolate bar from the night before had been enough sugar to last him for at least a month.
