“You know her condition, Oliver. The doctor said that it would be harmful to her to travel so far”, I told Oliver on the call why couldn’t Mariam travel to her hometown for the court case. “I understand what you are trying to tell me, Dem.. but Mariam is the victim here and her testimony in person is important for the fire case too”, he still tried to convince me. “Ask your lawyer if the video call can be arranged during the trial. We have already submitted her medical reports indicating how badly she is affected by two accidents in a short span of one year”, I was still reluctant to send her there.
