Roselyn's eyes flickered back to the window, not wanting to dwell on the glaring mistake of her reality in fromt of her. A reality she knew she'd rather die than let it consume her.
Even from the dark curtains, she could tell it was already bright outside. She wondered if they would have noticed her absence by now?
A scoff left her lips. Of course, they wouldn't. She'd always been too careful.
But then, as she recalled the fury in Lucien's eyes last night, she knew it was only a matter of time before he summons her.
She knew deep within her that--that pendant meant so much to him.
She'd confirmed it years ago, before she had stolen it, but she felt like there was something big she was clearly missing.
There was indeed something going on between them.
