Caius was still sleeping beside me when I woke up in the morning; it seemed significant that he had come back to my room with me rather than expecting me to sleep with him in his room. I felt more contented than I had done in a very long time as I lay close to his warm body and stared up at the ceiling above us; his warm breath tickled the exposed skin of my neck and I shivered pleasantly and moved closer beside him, pressing my body against his and taking in the scent of him.
