Chase’s POV.
I walk up to Ruby and Beard.
“Hunter, is everything ok?” Ruby asks me, and Chance lifts his head and smiles at me, and I smile down at him.
“Yeah, could you keep him with you for a while longer? I need to speak to Ranger.” I ask her and she smiles at me and nods her head and tightens her hold on him. She would have been a good mom. I know it will happen for her one day. She deserves that chance.
“Of course, I love playing with this little guy. He is so smart. Chance tell your daddy what you just did?” Ruby says and Chance looks up at me with a huge smile on his face.
“I did the super-hard level that aunt Ruby has been trying to do for years.” Chance says and I chuckle and Ruby corrects him.
“Not years, little guy, days at most. But you did it in one go. You are so smart.
