Chase’s POV.
“No, no, no, Shannon. Come on, baby, open your eyes!” I shout before I press my fingers to her pulse point under her jaw and feel nothing.
“No, you’re not leaving me, you hear me? You are not leaving me!” I say as I roll her onto her back and begin chest compressions.
“CALL 911!” I shout before looking back at her. “Come on, baby, don’t you dare leave us?” I say as I count in my head. I tilt her head back, pinch her nose and give two breaths, then back to chest compressions.
“COME ON!” I scream as Ranger moves.
“When I say breathe, do it.” I say to him.
“Breathe.” I say, and Ranger gives two breaths to his daughter. I check her pulse again. Nothing.
“DON’T YOU f*****g DARE!” I scream, tears streaming down my face as I keep going, Ranger keeps giving her breaths.
