Book 2 Chapter 4.

1762 Words

Shannon’s POV. Every time I close my eyes, I see him. I see the look in my brother’s eyes right before I killed him. The way that the boy he once was had broken through the monster he was. The way he said my name and the deafening ring of the gunshot that followed. The way I cried as I cradled his dead body, the way … The way I left him there and ran. That is what I always do. I run because I’m a coward. We are driving back to the clubhouse and all I can think about is what Shane told me before it went to s**t. He blamed me. He blamed me, said that I stole what he spent most of his life trying to prove he was worthy of. Only for it to be stolen away and handed to his little sister. I’m not condoning what he did, not by a long shot. What he did and how he went about it was wrong.
