Chapter 9

Isabella: "Isla, I thought you attended the Dark Realm Auction tonight?" I asked, knowing it was Saturday night. "No. I did not attend it. Why should I attend it? I do not have anything to sell, and also, my dad or boyfriend did not invite me," Isla replied, and I knew that getting an invitation or ticket into the Dark Realm Auction was strict. Only men were permitted entry, while women were up for grabs as goods to be sold. "That is fine. But I was asking because I already sold off Angela." "What?" Isla gasped, surprise laced in her tone. "You are not joking, right?" Isla asked, doubt laced in her voice. "No, how can I lie with such news? I sold Angela off. I just cannot stand seeing her in this house. She stole everything from me. Our parents' love, care, the boys' admiration in college. What more? All the things that I desire to have, she has in abundance. She is beautiful, alluring… I contacted Morgan, and he helped me sell her off," I admitted, not feeling any regret. "But she is your only sister," Isla said at last, feeling pity for Angela. "But you are my friend, Isla. You did advise me to sell Angela off. Are you going back on your words now?" I asked Isla, unable to believe my ears. "Isabella, do not get me wrong. I understand that you do not like Angela. But she loves you as her big sister. You both are unique in different ways. I was only joking when I told you to sell Angela off. I did not think that you would take it seriously," Isla said, regret laced in her voice. "Well, I already sold Angela off, and I have no regret. But I did not know who bought her. Morgan refused to tell me. And I do not know who could afford to spend such a huge amount on Angela. Guess how much she was sold for," I said, and Isla sighed. "I cannot guess. You tell me, Bella. But I am certain it is from one million dollars and above," Isla assumed. "No, well, you are right about the initial price. But Morgan told me that Angela was sold for fifty million dollars," I announced. "What!" Isla shrieked over the phone. "Are you serious? Who would spend such a huge amount on Angela? Maybe it is because she is a virgin? You know that Angela is not in a relationship, and she just turned eighteen this year. I assume that is why her bid was so much. Wow! So you will be paid five million dollars. That is massive, babe!" Isla gushed over the huge amount. "I know, but I am worried about who bought her. I had a bad feeling that maybe the person who bid such an amount might know Angela," I murmured, and Isla sighed. "Relax, Bella. You worry too much. I am sure it is one of the old men there. Like my elder brother said, no young man is interested in having a young woman as his property. So I am sure that only the old men buy them for their harems and use them for prostitution. So relax. Only that I feel Angela is too innocent to turn into a prostitute. She will make a cute bìtch. Hahaha," Isla chuckled, and I rolled my eyes and smiled. "You are right. Alright, I will call you later. I have to answer my father's call. My phone is ringing." "Wait, Bella. What if your parents find out that you sold Angela off? You know that you cannot possibly hide it from them," Isla said. "Mmm." My fist clenched, and I replied, "I already sold Angela, and there is nothing they can do. I am sure, by now, her buyer could have slept with her. Haha," I chuckled darkly, and Isla agreed. "You are right. Take care, bestie. We will see each other at the university by Monday." "Alright. Take care too," I replied before my call with Isla ended. Sighing, I saw five missed calls from my father. Anxiety gnawed in my gut, and I felt that he had already found out that his beloved princess had been sold. Hesitant for a while, I answered the call on the sixth ring. "Hello, Dad." "You damn bìtch! How dare you put your younger sister up for sale? Your mother and I only traveled to Los Angeles for a business deal, and you had the gall to sell your sister off!" Dad yelled, his thunderous voice making me tremble. "Dad, I cannot stand seeing Angela in this house. So I sold her off." "Shut up!" My father silenced me, his tone cutting me off and making me annoyed. "Did you realize what you did? Do you know who bought Angela? How can you do that to your own flesh and blood? I cannot believe that I am your father. Do you actually think that I will not find out? If you do not go and get Angela back before I return home tomorrow, I will personally sell you off!" Dad yelled, making me tremble. "Dad, you cannot do that. I am not going to bring Angela back. She is gone and sold. And that is final." "You…!" Dad was furious. "Do you know that Mr. Henshaw bought Angela at the Dark Realm Auction?" Dad spat, anger laced in his tone. "What? Which Mr. Henshaw?" My heart skipped a beat as I sprang up from the chair in my room. Dad chuckled darkly. "How many Mr. Henshaws do you know? Mr. Henshaw Jr., Richard Henshaw, your boyfriend, is the one who bought Angela tonight, and he refused to release her after he called me." "What!" I screamed, dread washing over me. My heart exploded; rage filled my veins. "You are lying, Father. I called Richard a few minutes ago, and he never said anything about having Angela with him," I replied, my voice sharp as I refused to believe what my father said. "Listen to yourself, Isabella. You are worse than Jezebel. What do you want my colleagues and friends to say? I already promised to deliver you to Richard by myself, and you have no use for me. You are not serious with your studies, and you will make a better whòre than your sister. How dare you do this to Angela? You better call Richard tonight and tell him not to dip his dîck in your sister's pûssy. If Richard refuses to release Angela, consider yourself sold off too. I have been lenient with you enough!" Dad ended the call on me, and my heart was still racing.
