Chapter Four: Antonio.
He smiled at me. I can see that it was sincere. My heart started to beat so fast that I couldn’t even hear anything around me. Gosh, he was so gorgeous! How can a man be that gorgeous when he smiled?
“Thank you,” he said, turned his head and continued walking.
My jaw dropped. Did he really say thank you? My mind literally went buffering, don't know what to react, don't know what to say because damn, my heart sank at what he just said.
He stopped walking and turned his head to me, “Come on, what are you waiting for?”
I blinked several times before my mind started to process. I took in a deep breath and walked towards him.
“O-okay,” I stuttered! Gosh, why do I have to stutter?!
We walk together. I don't know where we are going but I just walk with him. I was walking mindlessly, and don't know the reason why.
How many times do I have to say the word, “I don't know?” because I just really don't know!
“W-where are we going?” I finally asked him.
“I’ll get you a cab,” he replied.
I raised my brow and stopped walking, turned my head to him. He stopped too.
“What?”
“I’ll get you a cab, why? Is there a problem?”
I shook my head, “N-no, but I don’t need to take a ride. I can just walk. . .” I shrugged, “My house is just a 15-minute walk so I don’t need it. But anyway, thank you.”
I smiled at him as his face turned red because maybe he felt embarrassed about it. I thanked the street light for lightning the road because I saw his cute face!
“T-then, you can walk, bye!” he said then raised his hand to call a cab.
Without even looking at me, he got into the cab. I wrinkled my brows and pursed my lips. What was that? Did he really felt embarrassed? Really?
I burst out a laugh! How cute he was! Hope to see him like that again. He was so cute!
While walking on my way home, I was humming as if I'm listening to a song. I really am happy today. Because I made him smile! It's an achievement for me. I thought I couldn't make it but yeah! I made it!
When I'm finally on the front door of my house, I was surprised to see a pair of male shoes on my shoe rack. I took it and examined, the odor of it snuck into my nose. s**t! I dropped the shoes and realized whose shoes it is! Damn, why is he here?!
“Antonio!” I shouted.
I opened the door and went in. I slammed shut the door behind me. My head suddenly raised up the temperature. Damn, my emotions.
“Antonio–what the hell?”
I caught him sleeping on the couch while snoring. And what’s horrible is, his feet were on the top of my glass table! Yuck!
“Antonio!” I called him and when he didn’t wake up. I shouted at the top of my lungs. “Antonio! Wake up!”
He then opened his eyes, blink several times and wrinkled his brows as if he didn’t know who I am.
“Oh, sis? Why are you here?”
I glared at him. “You didn’t know why I am here? Really?”
He’s older than me but he acts like he's still a baby! What unlucky I am to have an older brother like him. Damn.
“I know, of course, welcome home, sis.” He said and got up from the couch, sat down.
“Take off your feet above my table,” I was fuming mad at him. I really want to smack him in the head using his own shoes.
He raised his brow, “Why? Don’t be such a sensitive baby. It’s just my feet!” he reasoned.
“And your feet stink! Gross!”
“Wow! As if your feet didn’t stink! If I know you had a bad odor, stinkier than mine!”
I took in a deep breath and sat down beside him. Closed my eyes and I feel so exhausted again. But then, when I remembered how Mr. Davids’ face turned red, I smile.
“Why are you smiling?” my brother asked me.
I covered my face with my palm. “I am not.”
“I saw you smile? Are you really mad at me?”
I bit my lower lip. “Yes, I am!”
I stand up and run towards my room. I hope my brother didn’t see me smiling because damn, he would definitely tease me.
“Crazy b***h, you smiled!” he shouted.
I ignored him and continued running. I slammed the door and went straight to my bed. I took my pillow and cover it on my face.
“Damn! He was so cute!” I tried to keep my voice low because Antonio might hear me.
Then I suddenly stopped giggling.
Why am I even giggling as if I had a crush on Mr. Davids? Nope, of course not! He just smiles, he said thank you, his face turned red and I find it cute! That’s it! There’s nothing wrong with it!
Now, sleep tight, Antonnette. You are tired from the day so sleep and forget about Mr. Davids.
Morning came, I wake up from my older brother banging my door.
“Sis! Wake up!” There he is.
I got up from the bed and went out of my room. Even though he was a hard-headed older brother, when he’s here, he always made my breakfast. He was good at cooking.
“Why are you here?” I asked him while we were busy eating.
“You know the reason, don’t ask.”
I shrugged and continued eating. I knew it, when his wife was mad at him, he kicks out my brother and didn’t let him in on the house. His wife is short-tempered while my brother is an asshole. If I were my sister-in-law, that’s what I am going to do with him too.
“Then stopped being an asshole,” I said.
“I’m not. She’s just being oversensitive. She didn't even give me a chance to explain,” he exhaled. “I want to get an annulment.”
I looked at him clueless. “You married her and now you want an annulment?”
“Because our marriage is unhealthy. We are both unhappy,” he reasoned.
“That’s because you both didn’t open your heart for each other. Try to talk heart to heart. See the reason you always argue.”
He nodded, “I’ll try, thanks, sis.”
I always give advice to others but I didn’t even get into a relationship before. 28 years old yet didn’t get any real relationship. Damn it.
