Arden drew himself back in surprise. He was now the one who was feeling self-conscious.
“…Why would you look that up?”
“Hm? Oh, it’s just an old hobby of mine. Your name is pretty uncommon so I got curious—I found more than one hit, actually. I’ll let you decide which of them you like best…”
Kade then proceeded to tell Arden how, in one of Shakespeare’s plays, the playwright had given a great and solitary forest that was central to the story the same name as his. It was said that Shakespeare had taken the inspiration both from his mother’s maiden name as well as from a real forest located in a different country.
Kade then went on to say that in Latin, “Arden” meant “valley of the eagle.”
But despite what he’d said at that start, Kade hesitated a little before telling him the last one
