Chapter 4

Aiden POV

Being with Marissa felt wrong. After my shower I went back to her room and told her she needed to go back to her pack. I was done with her. She cried and screamed and said I'd be back the usual girl thing. This human had a hold on me. I didn't like it. I went for a run and Cable dragged us to her house. From the forest I saw her standing in the middle of her back yard area looking up. She was looking at the stars. I could feel the calmness roll off her body in waves. Cable started walking towards her as I screamed for him to turn around and go back home. She heard us and when she turned we locked eyes. The fear she had as we approached her ripped my heart. Cable wanted to comfort her not realizing we were the cause of her fear. I took back control and when I still moved forward towards her I realized I wasn't going to be able to leave her alone. I snarled and growled not realizing I did it out loud till she let out a whimper. I bolted back into the forest and back toward the packhouse where in my room I screamed. A human mate. A human Luna. The moon Goddess must be playing a sick joke on me.

Hayden woke me up the next morning to go to the gym. I needed to blow off steam and since there was no training, lifting was going to work. The boys and myself walked in and of course the unmated she wolves started to flaunt their goddess given "talents" making me roll my eyes. The smell of Oranges hit my nose. She was here. I saw her next a rack. standing there in an olive green long sleeve shirt, the shortest and tightest black spandex, leaving her long legs on display. Her long black hair tied up into a a ponytail. Her lifting straps around her wrist gave me a good idea of strapping her to my bed. Before i knew what i was doing i was walking toward her, we locked our and i said "Mine."

She had no idea why i said and that and the glare she gave me made her look so cute. She didnt know who i was and how bad it would be to challenge me. When she told me to wait my turn for the rack thinking that why i said mine, I almost wanted to claim her right there. We moved to a different rack as i watched her lift. Shes strong, a body to die for, toned and fit but curves right where you wants them. She walked past us to the cardio and gave me a good view of her ass, the slight jiggle it had as she walked had me drooling on the floor. She looked over her shoulder catching my stare with a smirk. She knew what she was doing but I can play too. I took off my shirt when i got on the treadmill next to her. It was the last one left so no choice. Her heat beat picked up and i heard her breath catch in her throat. I affected her. She stared me down and i swear she could see into my soul.

Sunday was talking over plans with allies and how to better security around the pack. When a guard yelled through the pack mindlink about a rouge. My brothers and I jumped into action itching for a good fight. A warrior joined up and told us of 2 humans down there being cornered. Cable growled and ran faster. As we reach the rouges, I smelled her. Our mate was about to be killed by these rogues. We all fought and tore them apart. I saw mate take off running glad she was getting away when i notices a rogue went after them. I killed the three that ganged up on me and ran after them. I had a good sized bite on my right leg, it would be healed soon but it was bleeding quite a bit. As I got closer I saw the rouge creeping toward her as she tried to crawl away. I jumped in front of her blocking her from him. I wish I could have told her to run but the male she was with earlier at the gym ran up behind her and pulled her away. The rouge lunged at me and we fought. He gave a up a good fight but i was able to rip this throat out. My brothers and warriors came toward me. We shifted and started talking about the breach in our security. Before leaving i heard the twig snap, I knew she was there and saw us. I felt her elevated heart rate, she was scared. Everyone shifted and ran back to the packhouse, I shifted and followed her scent.

I was lead up to her house I watched as he flew and fell into her brother arms crying, we did that. I did that. The only way to fix this was to show her we are good people. I cant lose her.
