Chapter 5

Rylee POV

When I crashed into my brother I could help but start to cry, my body was shaking. He had his arms wrapped around me sitting on the ground and crying with me. He kept telling me its ok its ok and kissing the top of my head. Our parents came out and were freaking out too. Dad went inside and called someone, hopefully animal control.

    After a few minutes I had stopped crying and Ryder had told mom and dad what happened. He never saw who the wolves really were. We moved inside and sat in front of the fire and mom made us tea. Dad came out of his office and whispered to our mom. "My boss is coming here to look around. maybe we can get some fences up." "Dad its not like it was directly in our back yard." Ryder said. We both liked the fact outside our back door it opened up into the forest. Nothing separating us. "They were once" I said sipping my tea, eyes not moving from the floor. "I heard a noise the other night, walked outside saw nothing. I watched night sky for a min or two, as I was walking to come in, a big black wolf came out of the forest and up to me. It sniffed, growled and then left." When no one said anything I looked and saw everyone's jaws on the floor. "why did you tell us?" Dad yelled. "Cause nothing happened, like today." 

    A knock kept dad from yelling more at me. He opened the door and his boss, his wife and their kids all walked in. I Saw him. He was the last one in, his eyes locked onto mine. My breath hitched as I felt the need to run to him. My blood than ran cold as the image of him turning into a giant wolf hit my brain. "No. No" I whispered as I stood dropping my mug and running from the room. I was up the stairs when Dad and Ryder were calling me.  I kept going into my room and then into my closets. I sat with my knees to my chest when Ryder was came in. "What happened? Why did you act like that?" He kept looking at me trying to read me. For twins we could have whole conversation without speaking a word, we knew when the other was hurt or stressed. Reading each other was easy, but right now he couldn't. There was another knock, we looked up and saw the prettiest girl I've ever seen come in. "Hi I'm Alistair's daughter Ally. Can I come in?" She asked. My brother nodded. She walked in slowly and sat down. My eyes were wide. "My brother asked me to talk to you. Do you mind if we do it alone?" she looked from me to my brother. i nodded. Ryder squeezed my hand and slowly got up and left incase I changed my mind before he walked out. 

"So Aiden knows you saw them in the forest."

"What are they?" I had tears running down my face.

"we are Werewolves. We can change at will into wolves."

Did she just say we?! I started to breath very hard.

"Don't hurt me please I wont tell anyone." 

She smiled "Its ok we wont hurt you. We just want you to understand our kind and make sure you don't tell anyone even your family. Its a big deal this never gets out."

"Is it just you guys?" 

She looked down and shook her head. "This whole town is mainly wolves. The school too."

"You guys wont try to fatten us up and eat us?" I asked

She actually laughed at that. "I like steak as much as the next person but we don't do that. You'll be joining us at school I hear. What do you like to do." 

I shrugged. "I just want to graduate and stay in shape for college ball." I said relaxing little

"What sport?" 

"Volleyball" 

"Oh Goddess, you'll have to come after school, we play open court. Its so fun." Her eye lit up. 

"You guys play?" I cant lie when i say I perked up at the thought of playing volleyball." 

She nodded. Not a lot of she wolves do, they are either cheerleaders or too snobby to play sports." She rolled her eyes. 

After a few minutes of talking we stood to go downstairs, she promised to fill me in about wolves later and the gossip around school. "Don't be afraid of Aiden, he may be the strongest and biggest wolf, but he's just a puppy." She said walking down the stairs with me. "a puppy that could kill me." I said. "well of course but he likes you, if he didn't, and you saw us.... you should be dead." She shrugged  and continued as i felt like throwing up. 

I walked down after her very slowly. Ryder was sitting on the bottom couple steps and stood up to me as i reached him. He asked if I was ok and I told him yea just over reacted. He gave me a hug and we continued back into the living room. I stayed behind him as we moved. I saw Ally nod to her father and his gaze met mine. I looked down. I know when you are being cornered by an animal you never look it in its eyes, and I felt like I was being cornered.
