Aiden POV

She ran again. I had no intention of telling my father she saw us. It wasn't until her father called about them being attacked by wolves. We explained what happened and he wanted us as a family to go over and check on them. Humans compared to us are weak, any that live in our territory are protected by us. As everyone left my fathers office I stayed. I told him she saw us shift and my father hit his fist on his desk causing it to crack. When my sister walked in he mentioned to talk to her and hopefully she will understand that she cant tell anyone about us.

When Ally came down and nodded at us we knew she was good. She came out slowly from the stairs and sat next to her brother and apologized for freaking out. My father looked at me and could tell, "Her? The human is your mate?" I nodded back. "now its more serious that she keeps this secret." I looked back at her and her eyes were darting from me to my dad. As our eyes locked she looked down at the floor.

"Ryder your sister says she plays volleyball, do you play too?" My sister asked and my ears perked. Volleyball players to me were the pinnacle of female athletes, doesn't help they always were the hottest of the bunch too. Ryder nodded, "I play too but she's more of the athlete. We both have scholarships to ASU, mines academic though. Hers is volleyball, she's definitely a beast on the court." She blushed. "What's your position?" I asked her. "Server and back row hitter." I smirked and nodded. "You must have a cannon for an arm, you should come play open court with us after school, see if you can keep up." That got her attention. "Keep up? I'll knock aces around you." "Don't worry girl, Aiden cant play half as well as he drool over the girls that show up." Ally said to her, she gave me a look of of course. "Your going to pay for that." I mind linked her. All she did was stick her tongue out.

After a few more minutes of conversation we decided to excuse ourselves. "We play Monday, bring your gear and you can play with us, it'll be fun and you can meet more people." Ally said. "I will." Ally took our her phone and got her number. She smiled and I felt my stomach flip. she had the most beautiful smile. Her mom invited us for dinner Friday which her our mom gladly accepted.

As we left I was begging Ally to give me her number. she enjoyed watching the future alpha beg and basically be at her mercy. When she finally gave it to me after admitting she was my mate i went to my room and stared at my phone. "The f**k do I say? I normally have no trouble talking to girls, but she made me nervous. What if she thinks I'm a creep and tells me to f**k off? That's like rejection right? " I asked Cable who stayed silent. Ugh! "Thanks for the help buddy." I rolled my eyes at my silent wolf. I take a breath and message.

Me: You really think you have what it takes to play with us?

Her: I didn't get a full ride to a university to play volleyball for being cute.

Me: Its not an Ivy league school.

Her: No but Ivy league doesn't mean they are going to have top notch Athletes as well.

I can already tell she's a feisty one.

Me: Hmmm feisty. How about a bet?

I watched the 3 dots up up and disappear a couple times. The popped up once more but didnt disappear.

Her: Like...what?

Me: We play opposite teams best out of three. If I win ...

Me: We go on a date.

There was a few minutes of nothing, I saw she read it. Three bubbles popped up.

Her: And when my side wins?

I didn't respond.

Her: You tell me more about what you are.

So she wanted to know more. This could be a perfect chance.
