Chapter 24

Rylee POV

It wasn't really my plan to let my walls down that soon. I don't know what came over me. Seeing him climb through my window naked just made my brain "girl climb that man". So I did. I regret NOTHING.

We finished our shower when my mom knocked on the door letting us know dinner was ready. "So do you have clothes? Or were you just planning on being naked the whole time?" He laughed "yea, I kind of left in a hurry and ripped my clothes. We keep some hidden in trees. I can go find them." I placed my hand on his chest. "Hold on", I grabbed my phone and called someone. "Who are you calling?" Aiden pressed, trying to grab my phone as I swatted his hand. "Bro I need clothes from you for Aiden annnnd do you have a spare clean sheet." I asked him and it was silent. "This is going to cause me some trauma you know. But yes, I do have a clean sheet, I'll bring it to you." He said and I heard a groan that made me laugh. I looked up at Aiden who was just smiling at me. "What?!"

"Nothing was just thinking." He shook his head. I rolled my eyes, turned and started to get dressed. By the time I had finished, Ryder had brought Aiden's clothes and a sheet for me. Walking downstairs to dinner with my family ,my boyfriend behind me, my brother and his girlfriend being there. They are werewolves. It all didn't seem like it was weird, it felt natural.

We went into the kitchen and sat down. When my mom got up to get the rolls out of the oven and dad grabbed some butter from the fridge, Aiden had reached down and with one swift move pulled me closer to him. The chair didn't make a sound and he didn't even look like it was hard. I made a squeak when it happened and glared at him, all while he and Ryder tried not to laugh. He placed a hand on my thigh and the heat from his hand was burning my skin, or that was my desire for him. Dinner went smoothly and then, Aiden asked to go on a walk.

"So the tension coming from you is thick. What's going on?" I said as we walked hand in hand toward a clearing that was behind the house. When we stepped through into the clearing from the trees, the moon was huge and lit up the whole area. I put my arms out, still holding Aiden's hand, and closed my eyes, taking a couple of deep breaths. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed his cheek next to mine, his chin resting on my shoulder. "You wanted to see my wolf, is that still the case?" I turned around wrapping my arms around his neck. "If you are willing." He took my hands in his. "There is just something you need to know. That wolf you saw at night, was me." He took a couple steps back. "What?" "The wolf that you saw your first night here, that came up to you. Was also me." My breathing had stopped. He took his shirt off and shorts off, and shifted. I watched as his bones broke out of place and he grew bigger. What took seconds felt like hours to me. There stood in front of me the same huge black wolf that had come to see night after night. The one I had confided in. I felt a tear slide down my cheek. He walked up to me and softly pressed his nose to mine. It was cold and wet and then, before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face and he gently licked them up. I placed my hand on his snout and then ran my hand through his fur like I had done before. I walked around him really taking in his details. I looked into his big wolf eyes as I scratched behind his ears. He never looked away from my gaze, even when his tongue lolled out the side of his mouth and his panting picked up. "Hey Cable." I said and gave his nose a kiss and placed my forehead on his.

Aiden POV

I was worried she would run. I knew this wasn't going to be easy, but it was also something that needed to be done. I couldn't keep my wolf hidden from her forever. So I had to do what needed to be done, show her Cable. Cable was in control and was being very gentle with her. I watched them interact and it was like seeing her on a movie. She started to run through the clearing and then when she was almost on the other side she called cable and his ears perked, tail wagging very fast, tongue flopped out his mouth. She called him again and he did an excited dance. "You really are just a giant puppy when it comes to our Mate aren't you?" I said chuckling at his playful behavior. "Mate said she wanted to be chased, we play." He said before crouching low and pouncing toward her. She squealed and turn to run giggling the whole time. Cable was fast and would catch up easy but he stayed behind her to keep playing. I watched as they ran and ran through the clearing over and over.  She was getting tired i could tell but Cable had tons of energy still. "Buddy she is getting tired we need to stop and let her rest." I told him pushing for control again. He whined and whimpered about it. I shifted as she sat down, I joined her in the grass once I was dressed. I sat next to her and she crawled into my lap resting her head on my chest right above my heart. I had one arm wrapped around her supporting her and the other gently rubbing up and down her leg. "You excited for the camping trip?" She finally spoke up. "I've never been camping so sure i guess." The shocked look on her face was not what i expected. "You live out here near this beautiful forest and youve never been camping?" I chuckled at her. "I'm a wolf babe we arent the camping type really." I replied. "Well then your first time will be fun. Bring warm clothes itll be cold." She was running her hand on my chest. "cold doesnt bother us, we run warm so we dont feel it." She gasped and looked at me. "So ill have like my own giant space heater in my sleeping bag? Now im even more excited. I hate the cold." "Oh dont worry I'll keep you warm alright." I stood and picked her up suddenly making her yell. 

"Where are you going?" She said as i ran holding her over my shoulder. "My place."
