Aiden POV

She didn't know I was the big wolf she was talking to. Cable huffed in my head. ok ok it was him but I stood in control the whole time. Except when she hugged us Cable pushed to get forward and he's never showed that kind of strength against me before. I stood and put my shorts back on when my phone started ringing? I puled it out and saw her name.. I smiled to myself and said smart girl. I had no intention of leaving the area of her house. She would need me I knew it.

"Hello?"

"Hey... um you said to call if Ryder didn't come home, and I feel myself falling asleep."

"Do you need me to come over?" I could tell she was shy and embarrassed for asking.

"yea...if that's still ok. If not can you ask your sister?"

"You're my mate, Its my job to take care of you and make sure your needs come before anyone. I will be there in a few min."

"Alright thank you."

She hung up before I could say anything. I sat down and waited for a few minutes. Cable was pacing and huffing. "We have to act cool. We don't want to seem desperate." He stopped pacing and I swear was giving me a look. I stood and walked to her back door and knocked. I saw her peek around a corner probably making sure it was me. She walked over and unlocked it for me. "Why don't you have a shirt on?" she asked as I stepped inside. "oh cause I ran here in wolf form." "Oh ok um I'm not sure if Ryders will fit you but I think one of his hoodies will, he wears them big." We started up the stairs be hind her enjoying the view. "Why do I need a sweater?" I asked watching the gentle sway of her hips not realizing she stopped. I looked up as I caught her smirking. i felt my cheeks get warm. Am I really blushing? I never do that. Damn the mate pull. "Cause in case Ryder comes home or my parents you having a sweater will cause less of a heart attack rather than you being here with no shirt on." I nodded "you're right" She walked into her brother room and into is closet came out a few seconds later and tossed a hoodie at me. it was a little snug but fit none the less.

We went into her room where she sat on the couch and patted the seat next to her. She turned to sit crossed legs, facing me. I turned how ever much I could to face her. "Tell me about mates more. You say I'm yours, so I want to know more." I sighed I opened my mouth to say something to her. She put her hand over my mouth and said "if you are about to say no or later, you need to get out now then." I raised my brows at her. Cable perked up and said Feisty and I had to agree.

"Ok I'll tell you. Mates are not someone you choose. We date like humans but we don't get married like them. We find our mates by scent. Our wolves with howl out mate letting us know. Then we feel it, the need to be close all the time, the already attraction. You see your mate as the most beautiful person ever. There is need to protect them, anyone who tries to hurt our mates will die. We are to halves that make a whole." I tell her basically telling her how I feel. "Wait you said you don't get married like humans, so what do you do?" she asked me. Crap! "We mark them." I said in almost a whisper. she just continued to look at me. "Please tell me you're not going to pee on me." I couldn't help but start laughing at that. "I may be a wolf but we don't pee on things to mark. No. We let our wolf bite you and it leave a mark letting others know who you are mated to. I know it sounds bad but being bitten is actually a pleasurable experience and after a marking mated wolves have s*x to complete the mating." I finished watching her facial expressions change. "How is being bitten by a wolf pleasurable?" I chuckled "If it happens during s*x it can be." She shifted uncomfortably. "How many girls have you done this with?" That's what she was worried about. "None, marking and mating is for a life time. That's why we wait for our mates. We could mark another person but its for life. You want it to be with your mate not someone you could end up hating." She was silent for a minute and then nodded. "That makes sense."

"Look I know this is all new to you, so I'm willing to take it slow with you. Get to know you, be friends, then date and then maybe after that you'll let me mark you. You will eventually feel the pull between us, it's never as strong for humans as it is wolves." I took her hand kissed her knuckles and stroked them with my thumb. "Do I have to worry about other girl wolves." I shook my head. "Everyone in the pack will know you are my mate." She stayed looking at our hands. "I want to believe you I do but everything you are promising sounds too good to be true. The last guys that made me promises like that hurt me very badly and caused me and my best friend to fall out. After him the guys I dated I never expected anything from them. They would cheat on me cause I wouldn't give it up to them and it honestly never bothered me. I would just shrug it off and break up with them. There's a reason I stayed a virgin for so long. I don't want to just be another notch, it will be a meaningful relationship. So if you're just saying this for s*x I'm sorry to tell you you are wasting your time. If and that's a big If, if we date it'll be a long long time before I even consider having s*x with you." She told me I nodded.

"Well I'm not in this for s*x, I can wait as long as you need to trust me and know mentally, physically, emotionally I will never hurt you. and then when you're ready I will gladly take your virginity, don't worry ill be gentle. Like I said I wont hurt you. But enough of that. There's 2 things I want to know. Who the wolf is that keeps coming to visit you, and tell me about the guy that hurt you.
