Mending His Mate's Pain

Chapter 18

Blue decided to part from the crowd and decided to stay on the balcony upstairs where she could see everyone from below she kept on looking and observing everyone and she didn't notice that Nicholas was coming on her way.

"Why are you here alone?" She was startled when someone suddenly spoke behind her, and she could feel her breath on her nape.

Blue felt goosebumps through her spine from what he did. It took her many seconds before she realized that they were so close to each other that if someone saw them, they would think they were lovers doing some back-hugging.

Blue gently pushes Nicholas away from her, and then she looks at him, she was trying to make her face look colder.

"What do you think you're doing?" Blue asked Nicholas, who just grin at her.

"We're going tomorrow, and I've been here for quite a long time and yet, I haven't got any chance to talk to you since you were always inside your room and avoiding me," Nicholas said which made Blue silent.

"I'm not avoiding you," Blue said as she was denying what Nicholas said to her.

"Really? that's why every time I saw you , you kept on changing your way?" Nicholas said, and Blue knows he was mad since he was giving some emphasis on his word and based on its tone.

And Blue didn't like it. How dare he confront her? Does she have an obligation to acknowledge his presence and talk to him?

And besides, she doesn't have anything to talk to him.

"Are you okay? If I changed my way, it doesn't mean I was avoiding you, and besides, I see nothing for us to talk about," Blue said as she hissed back at him.

"You're my mate , Blue. If Xerias was willing to follow what Hellious did as some of the ingrate wolf council was against us having a vampire mate, well, not me, I once lost a mate and I don't want to loose another one" Nicholas said as his eyes change into another color.

Blue was too stunned to speak, Did she hear him, right? Another mate?

What does he mean about it? That he has a former mate? was it possible? and what am I a replacement?.

With that thought, Blue felt her anger rise. She grabbed Nicholas on his arm to teleport them somewhere far from the castle.

"And what do you mean by those words? that I'm just your second mate? what am I a mate replacement?"Blue said as her eyes also started to change color, and her fans started getting long.

The wind started getting strong as Blue raised her energy.

"Why dont you go find another replacement

mate for you?" Blue said as she raised her voice this time.

There, she thought that wolf could just have one mate. This just proves her wrong.

And how dare him tell her that? She was born, not a second choice, even though her life is a mess, and no one deserves to an option, a replacement.

Nicholas just stood there looking at her. Oh, how she really wanted to hurt him after what he had said to her.

"No matter what you say, you still need to go with me as you were my mate," Nicholas said as if he was not affected or understood what she said.

The nerve of this man! How thick can his face be? is he for real?

"You can't force me to go with you, Nicholas. You know what power a royalty like us has, and by that, you should be ashamed of your words. And oh, by the way, find another mate. Maybe you can have another replacement for me," Blue said, and before Nicholas could utter a word, she teleported herself alone inside her room.

She will leave later to travel, and that way, she could also forget about Nicholas. How can the moon goddess allow this one's?

Blue stayed on her room the whole time, but before, and she put some spell on her door that only those she allowed can enter the room.

After the party that morning, Blue decided to talk to her parents, so she teleported herself to where her parents were staying.

"It's still early in the morning, Blue. Do you really need to leave? "Her father asked her sadly as he was looking at the things with her.

Blue felt guilty again, she knows that what she was doing was so selfish , but this is the only way for her to atone for her sins and forget about Nicholas.

"Come one , Armund. We've already talked about this one the last time, right?" Her mother said to her father as she was comforting him.

"I know, but you can't just not make me worry for her, Red was already acting weird and shuts herself from everyone, which is not so her, and here are our long lost daughter, she's leaving again, but do understand it," Armund said sadly and sighed.

"It's not that your daughter was not coming back. Come on." Her mother said to her father again, and then she turned her back to face her. "Don't worry about us , Blue, and don't feel guilty, as your parents, it's hard to see you part from us , but we know that you'll be back again, just don't mind your father he's just emotional," Her mother.smiled at her tenderly.

Blue gave her parents one last hug before she teleported herself. She already has a specific place on where to go, Blue found it when she was summoned by Alec to join the war.

She will make sure that when she comes back , she was not the same Blue she was used to be.

Nicholas was left alone that night. He was desperate to get Blue with him, as her mother knew about him having a mate before , and worse is ever since he stayed there. Blue was always avoiding him.

It was late now when he realizes what he said is awful, they all knew what her story is and then there he is telling her that he had a mate before not knowing it will make her feel like she was a replacement.

Nicholas couldn't help but curse himself as he walked his way to the castle. He will talk to her tomorrow and apologize for his words and for being a jerk.
