Selene's POV The yelling grew louder as two guards stepped forward to block the doorway. They were standing tall and firm, arms crossed, eyes fixed straight ahead like statues. Vanessa, however, didn't look like she had any plans of backing down. She started waving an ivory envelope in the air, the sound of her heels echoing loudly on the marble floor as she tried to push her way inside.
