Selene's POV I couldn't tear my eyes away from the two red lines. They weren’t even bright yet. They were faint at first, like a trick of the light. Like maybe if I blinked, they would disappear and I would wake up from this nightmare. But they only got darker the longer I looked. I felt my knees buckle before I even realized I was falling. My back hit the cabinet, and I slid down to the cold tile, the test clutched in my shaking hand. “It’s real,” my wolf suddenly whispered. “You feel it too.” And I did.
