Selene's POV I placed the little plastic test into the bottom of my luggage, burying it under layers of folded dresses. My hands lingered there a second too long, feeling the hard shape through the fabric. When I finally closed the trunk, my chest felt empty. Leena hovered by the doorway, her eyes sharp. “I’ll pack the rest,” she said firmly. “You should sit down. You’ve had enough shocks for today.” I shook my head. “It’ll be faster if we do it together.” She opened her mouth to argue again, but I shot her a look that left no room for protest. With a tight sigh, she moved to the wardrobe. We worked side by side in silence and it took less than half an hour to erase my presence from the room.
