I shouldn’t have come, and I realized it the second I stood at the entrance of the pack mansion.
The guard at the door looked surprised when he saw me. “Alpha Victor is inside. I'll let him know you're here."
I nodded, trying to suppress the nervousness in my throat.
As the door creaked open, Abel stepped out and his expression changed the moment he saw me. His eyes narrowed like I was a threat standing on his Alpha’s porch.
“You shouldn’t be here,” he said flatly.
"I am not here to cause trouble.”
He scoffed. “You agreed to leave quietly. And to keep your little secret to yourself.”
