He made me incredibly nervous, but made me feel so incredibly safe at the same time that it almost felt as if I needed to tear myself in two. One piece to run away and one that could just cuddle up to him all the damn time.
Breakfast was brought to his room not long after our arrival and I asked him where Ruston’s father and the baby were so I could check in with them later in the day. He seemed a little hesitant to tell me at first, but as soon as I touched his arm, he seemingly calmed down and told me where to find them. He even offered to take me to see them, but I knew how demanding the role of an Alpha was and I didn’t want to intrude on work he might have needed to attend to.
