“How much did she take, Selene?” Both Selene and Sawyer looked up towards the door. It was Robin who spoke, but he was stood beside Francesca and there was someone else behind them. Robin was holding the blue bag the plants were kept in in his hand and Francesca took it from him, smelling it to try and decipher what it contained. The person behind them stepped forward and Robin moved to one side so she could enter the room. It was a woman, and she was older than any of them – maybe in her mid-sixties, but possibly older than that. Neither of the pair recognised her, and she didn’t offer an introduction. Her hair was long and silvery white, worn in a single braid that reached her lower back. She wasn’t slim, but she wasn’t fat either. She wore a flowing floor length dress in a shade of
