Joseph goes over to the saloon later that evening. He's hoping to find out what happened when Kid and his gang came to town. He knows that they were killed. But he only knows what Qaletaqa told him the other night. But he still doesn't know the details. He walks up to the bar and orders a bottle of whiskey. "How's everything going around here?" He pours him a glass of it and looks at Jamie.
"Every damn thing was fine until that damn animal came back with you. His ass is lucky as hell that he hit me from behind. If not, I would have killed his ass." Jamie frowns and takes a deep breath.
Joseph drinks that glass at one time. "Yeah, that bastard does make people want to kill him. The only reason I haven't killed him is that he's Maryann's cousin."
