Early that morning at an Indian camp in South Dakota Lighting Heart has been watching Black Shawl. Mocking Bird walks over to her. She looks over at Black Shawl.
Black Shawl is looking at Leaping Buck, Mocking Bird's man. He hasn't looked at her nor has he spoken to her. Leaping Buck agrees with Teel-O regarding Black Shawl. He wants her gone also.
"Don't worry, you have a good man. He will not fall for that woman's tricks. The spirits told me that she would be crossing over to see her ancestors soon." Lighting Heart hands Mocking Bird a basket.
"That is good. I just want her away from here. I can't wait for my sister to come home." Mocking Bird is looking at her man. He smiles, and motions with his head for her to come with him.
