“Mr. Russell, can you narrate to us what happened that night?” Prosecutor Smith asked my father. It was so obvious that Dad has a hard time speaking. Half of his face is burnt. The scars on the left side of his face and his neck says it all. He probably suffered third-degree burns on his body because the burning ceiling landed on him. “That night,” his voice was slurred. Aunt Belinda was right. He had a hard time adjusting after the fire. He was severely injured and was only adjusting to living normally but this happened.
