Mildred POV
After I kissed Tobias goodnight, I walked to my bed and thought about what we had done today. I don’t want to sleep. I know I am yawning and my body says to sleep, but my brain won’t shut down. I decide to hunt down Tobias and wonder if he wouldn’t mind company a little longer. I saw him head downstairs, so I got in the elevator and went down to the ground floor.
A girl, I remember she was a nurse and not a nice one at that, was trying to get his attention, but he was not interested in her. She followed him into the alpha office. I was close enough to hear her say she was carrying Tobias’s baby and my heart hit the floor. Is he going to be a dad? I felt my world fall apart and I turned and rushed back up to my room in tears.
