Mildred POV Soon the first of the injured warriors was brought in and I recognised the warrior. I had trained with him, he looked to be in a lot of pain, his eyes turned to me as they carried him to the table and I smiled at him, and he winced a smile back. I tried to follow the injured man as he was rushed over to the table, and a trainee tried to push me back as he surged forward to get a better look at the man and his injuries himself. ‘Let her by and stand back, and watch a true healer at work.’ Barked the doctor at the three trainees that were crowding the table. The trainees moved aside, to let me through, but I did not miss the nasty cold looks sent my way, and if I was not confident in my own abilities, I would have shrunk under their hurtful stare.
